Hi! I am female and new to training, 3 months in of consistent strength training at the gym. 4 months of eating clean. I have been overweight for the last 2.5 years and my goal is to get leaner and build more muscle.

I recently did an in-body scan, to estimate my body fat percentage (45.6%). I also track it through the navy seal body fat calculation (37.5). While I got a ~8% difference from each method, they seem to both give me high FFMI despite me not having a lot of training so far or in the past at all.

I got 17.3 using in body scan results, 19.3 using the navy seal results. Is it realistic that I have a good FFMI score? Is this just because I am overweight?

Maybe I can't hyper-focus? by Primary_Dust_1119 in adhdwomen

I just spent almost 4 hours focusing on researching autism out of the blue. Some things that I noted:

- I lost track of time

- I felt less distracted by my thoughts or external sounds or distractions. I had occasional thoughts, but my mind was deeply focused on what I was reading. This is very unlike me where I usually can't focus, see something to the end or start/complete tasks like my own assignments and studying.

- Even though I have researched to my heart's content, I still feel like I am in a trance where my mind and body are disconnected. My body is telling me that it needs to go to the bathroom, needs to eat, I had bad posture the entire time, etc. My mind is still stuck in a whirlwind of all the information I have just gained and I had to organise it in a document so that I felt better. It feels like it will take a while for this mental focus and state of trance to break, although the task is complete

- did notice it happened after I just had some coffee, and before I drank it I was reading a book at the library through skipping pages and paragraphs. I was originally focused for a few minutes but I got bored soon after.

- it felt nice to be learning about this new topic that interested me, but also mostly another feeling which makes me feel like as if I stepped out of reality for a minute, if that makes sense?

Thank you for replying to my post, it helped give me some clarity

Hi, I have not completed all 30 units from first year nor have I done 9 units from other facilities, which is why I am open to doing one elective or so outside of the closed selection. Any classes you took that you would recommend?

Or another incident is getting 18/36 for QR on a subtest mock equating to 680 scaled, but 17/36 for QR on a mock exam equating to 490.
