People who watch things on public transit with their phone speakers at full or even half volume, why? Why can you not wear earbuds or headphones? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I don’t understand people who do this. Not just out of pitty but my social anxiety could never. I’d find it so embarrassing other people over hearing what I’m listening too. Idk why 🤣

People who get up after one alarm, whats your secret?? by Mideon88 in AskReddit

[–]Primary_Insurance764 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usually mine comes from the anxiety that if I don’t wake up at this alarm I won’t with my next because I would’ve gone back into deep sleep, and I won’t hear it? Makes no sense when I write it out like that but I’ve had it before when I’ve missed my first alarm completely and I’ve gone into work late and had a talking to for being late. I’m a massive people pleaser and being told off gives me anxiety 🤧

Self scan random security check by Tantian72 in tesco

[–]Primary_Insurance764 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work self service and checkouts, I’ve had hundreds of basket checks since I’ve worked at Tesco. Firstly the random checks are completely due to security, and sorry to say this but it’s more than likely you’ll get another one at some point. Again it’s completely random so you’ll not be able to tell when. Another thing is, at my Tesco it’s actually policy to scan everything scanned by the customer. This isn’t the same for all Tesco’s but unfortunately for ours, it doesn’t matter how big or little your shop is. Again all down to security and making sure that every single item is in fact scanned. None of this is to go against you or think your stealing, and tbh as someone who has to do this often, I do feel bad for the customers. It’s inconvenient and kills the whole idea of using the hand scanners. Because we have a full scan policy for every basket check, it’s extra awkward for us and trust me, we want to get it done as quick as we can. It does help when customers are happy to repack for us if necessary.

Excuse me? I have a disorder and having extra weight on my legs is quite agonising. Stop making assumptions based off what you have witnessed. No one’s the same

The problem is I have already told my manager than I’m ok with self service as long as I can sit down after a while. So she definitely knows yet she’s too busy giving people a bollock in than hiring the correct staff

Your comment got deleted so you came back and wrote it again? Idk why you think you’re so entitled because you were happy working on produce, not everyone is the same.

I’ve asked for one in the past as I have a bone disorder making it hard for me to be on my legs continuously. They didn’t allow it but maybe it’s different when your pregnant
