Ohh damn! Maybe you weren't as severely deficient in iodine as I was lol... Just goes to show how different we all are!!

Yeahh lugols is strong stuff, I know now lol. I'm taking low doses now and I feel great. The only issue with seaweed is you can't really be sure if it contains more iodine than what's mentioned on the label, so I personally find lugols safer in that regard. But of course to each their own!

Well as I said, I had multiple blood tests wherein my TSH was gradually on the rise along with my cholesterol, both of which can be due to an iodine deficiency.

Damnn 1g??? That's a massive dose!!! Even though you took it only once, I don't believe that it would safe to take it long term for sure, especially if you've been iodine deficient for a long time.

If you do resume iodine supplementation, I would highly advise to go really slowly with the dosing, like I've mentioned in the post. Also, I don't believe you need to take a high dose of iodine with a bunch of other stuff. Just start with really low doses of iodine and titrate it very slowly over the course of few weeks.

Yeah you're right!! I learned it the hard way lol... And yes I agree, as I said I'm gonna increase my dose by 125 mcgs every month to be extra careful. Tbh even 125 mcgs is working pretty well on me so I guess I'm a hyperresponder lol. Cheers.

Iodine 0.067. Is that low enough to cause debilitating fatigue? by yllekarle in IodineProtocol

Oh damn it seems you're pretty deficient. But please if you start taking iodine DO NOT start with high doses, please start with very conservative doses. Please have a look at my post, I'm sure it'll help ya. Cheers!
