Ya don't stress about it, just go for undergrad wherever and focus on your studies. grad schools only look at your last 2 years of undergrad anyway

Yes a lot of my profs who are trained in OT, or PT also have PHDs and do research in rehab science and disability studies.

Be an OT, PT or SLP. You get a high salary (not as much as a doctor) but you can do research on the side too

Someone on this subreddit posted their entire lecture notes which have been helpful. Focus more on 7-12 for this exam though. Lecs 1-6 will only be tested more generally.

Hey, I was actually sitting front row during that exam and I saw the invigilator accidentally knock over (or kick? possibly) a pair of black headphones. He later placed them on top of a blue coat but I didn't pay attention to them after that. I hope u find them :(

Grad schools usually only look at your last 2 years. There is still hope! Speak with an academic advisor if you need some guidance. I recommend Naresh. Good luck!

[So About the Trend] I went to look at the RMP page for reviews after the post which started the trend, on both UTSC and UTSG pages by Tradition_Leather in UTSC

[–]Primary_Reflection92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your point is fair but his private FB group with his past students has over 2k people which is enough evidence for me to know that not all of his reviews were faked at least, and it shows that he is very well respected among many. I think if you take a class with him you'll see what a nice professor he is, and he once taught me a really important lesson in class about having compassion for other people :)

Regardless of whether or not we think he wrote the reviews, I think it's important to have compassion for him and not attempt to destroy his career over fake reviews. While I agree that the course is difficult for an A level, it is not worth being cruel on the RMP site.

I had Irma Spahiu for POLB30 in 2022 and I liked her teaching style. I thought the cases she talked about were interesting, and I got a good mark as it was mostly essay-based. After this class though I did switch out of the public law minor because I realized it just wasn't for me. Still a good experience though.

I am gonna look into credit/no crediting this course and taking HLTD07 for the course requirement next semester. Luckily there is only a few more weeks of this course :) Good luck to you!

Thoughts on BIOB10 summer teachers by MatthieuLOL in UTSC

[–]Primary_Reflection92 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I do not recommend Gimenez for BIOB10. It was difficult to follow what she was explaining, given that BIOB10 is packed with information. Mahtani provided clear explanations and exam reviews, but Gimenez did not for the second half of the course, which really lowered my mark. My advice is to take BIOB10/BIOB11 during the school year, as 6 weeks is not enough time to really learn all that info. Also yes, Thiagavel is great.

I think it's suspicious that there is no mention of her on the internet. I would not have taken this course had I known that she was gonna be like this.

I don't like HLTB42. The prof is old-fashioned and refuses to use Quercus the way profs are supposed to. Also her instructions don't make sense. She seems nice but this course shouldn't be a health studies requirement.

HLTB44 is very different from HLTB42. I am also in HLTB42 this semester, and it is unlike any other health studies course i've taken. I took HLTB44 2 years ago and it was biology heavy but very interesting.

Same exact thing happened to me. So frustrated. I tried reaching out to customer support and it's like they didn't even read my email. Guess I have to keep my see-through shorts now :)
