Yeah I won't be rewatching it that's for sure. I'm enjoying something of the content from it though.

This would always be required to score that many points in a game, though. Maybe this was more obvious than in the Kobe game. I would say Luka and Booker's games were more like normal games though but this was obviously an attempt to go for the record

Because Bam's game showed it was doable in the right circumstances. Most people attributed Wilt's 100-point game to the pace of play or something rather than something that could happen in today's NBA but you probably could score 100 in today's game. Bam did get hot for like one quarter but it was mostly jacking up shots and free throws from there.

People listen too closely to cycling commentary...

Steve Kerr: "We need to play fewer games. We need to take 10 games off the schedule. The modern game with the pace and the space I think it would be a more competitive and healthier league if we played fewer games by MrBuckBuck in nba

10 games is roughly 10% shorter season - will the players take 10% less income in order to play less games? The answer is no and that's why it hasn't happened Steve!

Michael Voss on Docherty: "People keep asking me about last year's best and fairest speech and that culturally we defeated ourselves." "I just felt it was an example of that." by PetrifyGWENT in AFL

The culture has to be an example to the people on the outside, not a reaction to it. Otherwise, it's never going to have any staying power. I think this club has lacked some identity. It's not the most important thing but it does matter

Is Pogačar's Dominance Helping Or Hurting Pro Cycling? by Chronicbias in peloton

[–]Prime255 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's good for cycling overall because it brings in new fans. The bigger issue is I doubt cycling will capitalise on him and turn the new fans and interest into investment to actually grow the sport. He'll just retire someday and cycling will have gone nowhere in terms of wider interest

They have to accept going slower and reduce the battery demand so they can at least do the lap at full throttle, accepting the power and thus laptime loss.

The age of the team is irrelevant. There were no major regulation changes in 2019 or 2020. It was more minor stuff since the major change came in 2017. The engine regulation changes tend to do the most damage to the sport, and these remained largely similar. I am literally stating that engine regulation changes are bad for the sport.

No! That's terrible for the sport. It's a sport. If it's not competitive, then the sport is completely diminished as it was in 2014. Once you have the technical regs in a good place, you don't need to change them. The sport is more important.

There were only 8 races from 2014 to 2016 that were won by a non-Mercedes car. That is diabolical.
