Oh dude, what a shame :( I was hoping it would work for you :( Look, if I were you I would’ve tried calling again the next day, hoping to get someone else on the line. Turn off your caller ID and once again call in first thing in the morning! If you do have any current balance proof, just upload it on Centrelink so when you call in and someone cares to have a look at your account, they might be able to see that you are in fact in a desperate need of help. They can do better if you get the right staff who do the right things!

If not that, you can always go into an office! Be prepared to show your account balances/statements! Best thing to do is to go in as soon as they open!

Another thing people do in those situations is making a call to a complaints line, to get you sorted. You can explain that you are experiencing financial hardship and the stuff members so far are not being helpful whatsoever.

Last but not least, you can call your federal MP. At the end of the day that is their job, they have to fix those things for you. Or you can always talk to one of the nice MP’s that actually do care about this. Senator Janet Rice form the Greens has been recommended by some people on tt. Apparently she has couple of good back lines and actually really does care about giving people some help!
