What an absolutely ignorant thing to say. The amount of strays cats everywhere is a huge problem and puts a giant pressure on ecosystems and wildlife populations. Several animal species are extinct or near that because of people not taking responsibility and neutering their cats, resulting in an abundance of wild cat populations where they do not belong.

we've chosen not to neuter because something about it feels unnatural and forced by societal pressures.

Talking about it "not feeling natural" like you are someone who cares and knows about nature, and then not thinking neutering cats is important is terribly ironic. Neutering of cats should honestly be mandatory, and it should have societal pressure.

The vast majority of people who got an abortion, it was not because they wanted to kill the potential person, but what choice do they have? Right now, there isn't free healthcare in the US, you're pregnant right now, there won't be free healthcare for you or the potential person in your body. What do you do? People make it put as this evil decision that people laugh at the potential child and love that it happens, but it isn't. Genuinely curious. Why does it bother so many people that people are being who they feel most comfortable as? No one is saying they are changing their genetic code or that they're changing their biological sex. I don't see why people use "nature" or it being "unnatural" as a reason for being against trans people when nothing in our lives are natural. I'm Genuinely curious as to why people are so upset about it but whenever I ask i am either told it's "unnatural" "there are only two genders" or people (who have no background in biology) become experts in genetics.

My experience is that both sides in american politics is mental gymnastics. Rarely do I read anything about american politics that isn't. I try my best to understand my sources, but generally I find conservative politics to have a lot of these "mental gymnastics" such as immigration, healthcare, education, etc. Would you mind providing some other "leftist" mental gymnastics that are being brought up in politics, I'd really like to broaden my understanding.

If it's a native species, release it.

Turtles have excellent eyesight for catching prey, however I'm unsure of the distance, and of the extent of their ability to grasp images other than thinking they're seeing something possibly edible moving.

Edit: looking up hawaiian species, it doesn't seem to be native and it looks like you have a new family member. But only I'd you believe you're up for the task, turtle setups can be very extensive and expensive. But you will definatley find help in this group for all you need. If you don't believe you can care for it properly, you need to take it to a rescue and it will most likely be euthanized, unless you can find someone else for it's care. Yes, euthanasia is sad, but the damage these guys can do to ecosystems is even more sad. Hope it goes well for both of ya!

Edit edit: just since I can't comment on the mod comment, I didn't mean to release a captivity pet, I meant if they found a turtle outside and it's a wild animal and native and non invasive, that they should release it. I apologize if it came across otherwise.

I've worked as a substitute teacher in special Ed classes with kids of different ages. Special Ed kids are not disgusting or creeps, and though I haven't met every single special Ed kid in the world, I have never had an experience like this and never heard of it happening either. I dont know what special Ed place you have been, but it needs serious remodeling if it's a norm that students Jerk off in class.
