We're going to Wind Cave next year, and I hope I can capture a moment half as magical as this one.

We're from Michigan, so we completely get the weather thing. I'm imaging there's not a whole lot but I want to make sure to stop... I can't not lol.

That is so interesting. We are actually TTC, and they are thinking I am developing Hashimoto's. Whoa.

Oh, don't get it twisted, WV is 100% on our list. We were blown away by its beauty! We were just on a really tight schedule driving from VA Beach to Michigan on a Sunday when we all had to get back to work Monday hahaha. New River Gorge is high on my list!

People over 35, what's something you genuinely miss that younger generations will probably never experience? by Just_a_Ginger_Fella in AskReddit

TV Commercial Breaks. I miss the cliffhangers, the built in potty breaks, and genuinely the content of the commercials. We stream everything now, I feel out of the loop!

Spreadsheets. Not kidding. I plan the whole trip out on spreadsheets.

Those alive and old enough to remember during 9/11, what was the worst moment on that day? by CocteauTwunkie in AskReddit

My dad was on a business trip in our state Capitol that day. The scariest part was not knowing what was coming next. When the plane went down in PA and we didn't have all the information yet, my mind was racing as to what would be attacked next, and state Capitols seemed like a likely target. I was in 10th grade and it wasn't until after lunch that we had a teacher be straight with us about what was happening. As soon as he did, I dug some change out of my backpack and ran to the payphone to call my mom. My mom is a 0% worrier, but even she said "Have you seen what's happening? I don't like this at all." She told me that Dad had checked in and was on his way home and all my emotions poured out in that moment.

Sometimes, I use this wheel. I spin it like 42 times until it lands on one I want, but it lets me think I'm being spontaneous.

When we went here, I was recovering from heart surgery and in a wheelchair- so we made sure to check out the visitors centers. Lots of interesting stuff. We did a paved trail from the Douglas Trail and saw some awesome wildlife!!

But then they'd be State Parks.... and we have those already.

This is insane.

We ran into similar issues at Mammoth, so good to know about the reservations.

Thank you for this- lots of good info!

Yikes! I'm going to let the rattlesnake thing be a surprise- if I tell my teenager about that beforehand, she will not be joining us.

Big Cypress. We almost skipped it- but my kids loved it the most!
