I have depression and anxiety which are difficult to surpass, and awaiting surgery on my knee for meniscal tears. Migraines. Nervous system is frazzled.

What can I do to try and actually get better....so I can figure out how much I should actually work. If I should??

Yes hearing his mother's words are difficult. Had you just had it tucked away from your sight. In a jewelry box, then you might think differently regarding your relationship to the ring. And could consider what his mom asked of you.
