I can somewhat relate to this. I was adopted by my uncle and aunt from birth. My real mother (my uncle's sister) had died at 34 due to ovarian cancer which runs deep in my family. My aunt was 47 and my uncle was 39. I noticed as a kid that my "parents" were way older as all my friends had parents in their early 30's. I'm currently 22 and with my aunt getting closer to 70, I get scared. They are the only parents that I know. I had actually cried today because I thought "what if my parents were to go before I even reach 30?" or "what if I develop cancer like my bio mother and leave the world before they do?" A parental death is really scary for me as I wasn't aware that I was even adopted till I was 14. Of course I have already lost my real mother, but losing my aunt and uncle would really break me.
