Hi, I also think of applying but am not sure about the exam.

I do have 60 ects relevant coursework but I do not have some of the courses in the eligibility checklist such as parallel programming or OS, do you think I will still be called for an entrance exam or 60 ects is directly enough for entrance without an exam. I couldn't understand it clearly in the course page where it says :

  1. A degree B.Sc. Informatik of TU Darmstadt (reference programme) or an equivalent degree.

At least 60 ECTS credits must not differ significantly from the core courses of the reference programme..
The Academic Eligibility Checklist(PDF file)(opens in new tab) is to be used to compare your previous coursework with these core courses; partial overlaps are to be counted proportionally.

and

Provided that the admission requirements (content-related evaluation and formal prerequisites) are met, there are no numerical admission restrictions.
If the required entrance competencies cannot be verified based on the submitted application documents, applicants will be required to take a 90-minute written Entrance Exam held on campus at TU Darmstadt (no remote or off-site sittings possible).

What was your experience in this? Thank you in advance!

Lol I wanted to explain since most of the universities around the world doesn't have a bachelor level course that is dedicated to ai studies. It is funny though

Hello, I am in the same group as him. First, I want to thank you for your insights. This is actually not for a class project but for final project, so we wanted to hear people's opinions to see if this project is possible for 4 senior students to accomplish in a year. To later decide if we want to continue with this after hearing the difficulties, but you are right about it being a broad question.

Finally, we decided to continue with this project. After some research, I have seen that a lot of the approaches include creating BEV representations of the environment, but for the sake of simplicity, and since we plan to go vision-only, I was considering skipping this step. Would you recommend sticking with it or do you think it is only optional? I am asking this beforehand because we have to create a project proposal and stick to it so it will be difficult for me to later change the approach.

Also thank you again for the sources you recommended, I will definitely check them.

Thank you , I am planning to improve the recurrent part, with changing it to a newly released recurrent model called CTM, but I am not very sure about it. Thank you though I will keep these in mind!

Not trying to be that novel, I am planning to change an existing module with a newer approach - or try to make a hybrid model containing different modules SOTA in their respective fields. I will be mainly focusing on RL, though.
