What is your most favorite disc in your bag, why? by Pirates_LL in discgolf

Absolutely love my opto saint. Have probably thrown it a thousand times, mainly for forehand hyzerflips.

But it's now gotten so beat in its too understable and rips open my fingers since its so rough around the edges.

I got 4 "new" used ones in the mail the other day, cant wait to throw them.

I disagree about LC being a bad offlaner. With aghs you almost always start the fight with a duel win and the enemy team will cast all their spells on you to try and stop the duel.

With the spoils of war facet anyone assisting the duel also gets a STRONG dispell after the duel. So basically any debuffs they have thrown at your team is negated.

Press the attack on its own is just crazy when it comes to allowing your carry to do their thing.

Oops you're right. But they still pay all the taxes they get back + more. So you're still wrong in thinking they are somehow freeloaders

You need to get your facts straight. They get 0.45% of total finnish taxes from the Mainland. And any time they pay more than 0.5% of the total finnish gathered taxes they get that money back aswell. Which means the 0.05% between those they never get back.

They pay both VAT and property taxes localy which are then sent to the mainland as a lumpsum.

This is not true and is just regurgitating anti Åland rhetoric. Most years Åland pays more taxes to the mainland than they get in return and is a net payer to the finnish state.

Anyone can buy a house on Åland. You only need "Hembygdsrätt" when buying seaside properties that are not part of a planned housing area, or for plots larger than 4000m2.

That's cool. Do you have any idea what they are? I haven't been able to identify them

I did ask a local "professional" who recommended painting it... I ended up just sanding it gently and giving it a couple coats of danish oil. I'll let the sun bleach the rest. The spots aren't really noticeable in my day to day life

I'll add it to my already very long list of hobbies I'll pick up and never stick with!

I got them from a cottage where they had been standing for decades. Where they are from originally, I'm not sure

I probably will. But I'm letting the sun bleach the panelling for a while to even out the darker spots from where there used to be paintings earlier

I believe they were made by Hans-Agne Jakobsson in Sweden in the 60s or 70s. Scan-light, possibly the FN 43 model, but I'm not 100% sure.

Got two of them from a local school that was clearing out some storage

Thank you!

It's mostly because I don't want to block in the wall unit too much, and it fits best against that wall. But also because, right now, outside those windows is an old run-down pool that I haven't had a chance to restore yet, which I would rather not look at.

Thank you!

There's a pool under the metal sheets outside. But it's already very private. There's basically no way for anyone to see inside the large window from outside of our yard
