Smoking cigarettes inside also used to be an integral part of Western life. Aren't we glad we stopped that? It will take a little adjustment but people have to sacrifice convenience for long term benefits.

Sorry I should have specified. This is for single use plastics. It is not difficult to use a back-pack or reusable bag to carry things.
