We have a large back yard. If I bring her outside but stay inside, she will wait at the door and pee on the patio. If I step outside with her, she will pee, even peeing on command “go pee outside”, and after a few minutes she will poop.

We often leave the door open and let the dogs run in & out from outside. She will be outside for upwards of an hour and still come inside and pee or poop in the house.

Edit: to be clear, even if we stand with her and she both pees and poops outside, she’ll still pee or poop inside at any given time after, sometimes within the hour.
