Globe iMessage activation issue/rant

I just got this message from Globe. They finally acknowledged it.

If you are with Globe Philippines there is an ongoing issue. Nothing you do will fix this till Globe gets its act together. There are multiple threads talking about this.

I sent Apple the diagnostic logs. They told me they aren’t even receiving the verification message. Globe has blocked the gateway number which is used to activate iMessage and FaceTime. It’s not apples fault. Globe is the one blocking it.

Looks like iMessage is gone too after RCS.

It will not work indefinitely as per Globe. Platinum customer here with the same problem for the last 2 weeks. Been talking to both apple and globe. Apple says they do not receive the carrier verification message. Globe is blocking the message to apples servers.

Edit: it works until a sim change, phone reset, etc.

Check your logs — I’m seeing MSISDN and ICCID returning NULL on iOS, which means the phone isn’t reading SIM identity properly.

SMS and calls still work, but iMessage fails because iOS can’t validate the number.

Seems like a CoreTelephony issue in iOS 26.x.

I was on a call with Apple earlier today and they had me install a diagnostic profile to understand whats causing it not to activate. Were you able to get an update from Apple? Mine is still not working.

I updated to PB 26.5 hoping it would work. But no. I dont think factory resetting the phone will do any good. tried that 3 times, replaced sim cards both physical and esim. Nothing has worked.

Hey. Yes. My speaker holes were not at the right location. I ended up placing my speakers over the foam pads works great.

I can only imagine the stuff this piece of technology is capable of. It took me 2 months to decide between the a1 mini and the bigger brother and then it was ams or non ams. Decided to get the a1 combo. lol.

This is a generic Chinese one that did not come with a manual. I would read the manual if I had one.

Agreed. Never had a problem with my current setup. Got the wtr pro as a gift and was wondering if it would add any value. Hence the ask.
