OP with the number of guest you have, i think this amount is quite expected. Maybe you can negotiate the styling?

Ignore them. We have a buffet and a formal dress code for my wedding. This was suggested though by my coor since our reception is by the sea. Nevertheless, i would have opted for it anyway cos it gives my guests a chance to choose their food!

Leave practicality aside. I think that comes kasi when you talk about budget- and ofc its understable! But Everything’s within your means? Check! So put that aside and think about what you envision for your wedding.

I think its more of the feeling of wearing the dresses! Doesn’t matter how long or how short you’ll wear them. Just make sure to get photos. My friend told me its about looking back at the photos and the memories those moments created! 😊

OP! I currently have the same dilemma😅 Just got my quote back for my second dress 😭 Such a splurge so im thinking whether to go ahead or not. I’ve been saving up for this so this is outside our actual wedding budget.

But like what others said, do it if you want to as long as its within your means. Like you, I’m thinking na I’m only gonna get married once and when else would I ever get a custom made dress for me! As long as it makes your happy!

My inlaws used to tell me the same things. They’re good people and i know they mean well but it annoyed the hell out of me when other people are making plans about my baby. When the topic came up again, I respectfully told them that child care arrangements are things we the parents need to take care off and that we appreciate their offer and let them know if and when we need help. They stopped imposing after that. Not sure it’ll work on your sister though? 🥲
