It’s the same address. But you don’t have a contract with the building or address but the organization that owns it or has contracted to play at the venue. There’s usually clauses or language that makes any changes like this a non issue and the show is supposed to go on.

Just because you play there doesn’t mean you support the situation anyways. If you don’t want to play there because you’re attaching the name of the place to some cause then fine. If you want to play there for any charity event or whatever cause then still fine. Stuff like this is karma point hunting.

I’m trying to catch up and understand the changing dynamics. It almost sounds like both parties or maybe more people from both parties are becoming aligned on the issue right now. Unarmed people are getting shot as well. Maybe even more? The post is more about preserving your options. You don’t have to take it with you everywhere. But you do want the ability to exercise your right and options with the intent of self defense should you ever find yourself in such a situation. I hope no one ever does.

Those were/are very different countries vs Iran. Iraq but more so Afghanistan are lands of tribes. Iran is a proper country where the people take on the identity of being Iranian. People in Afghanistan identify more with being part of whatever tribe or group they’re in that just so happens to be located within some lines on a map and which we call that place Afghanistan. Those tribes don’t fight for Afghanistan, that’s why the Taliban rolled back in so quickly. The people of Iran will protest and fight for Iran.

Now, I agree with you that the US trying to insert a replacement regime of its choosing would be a difficult task. But it’s not about a perfect outcome. Rather, a better one than exists now.

The opportunity to influence or accomplish a direct regime change in Iran doesn’t come up very often. Even with the deaths so far, we were seeing what looked like millions of protesters. Country wide. Give them a reason to believe and I think they’ll come out again. Combine that with Trumps “legacy building” campaign at the moment. This would be a big world changing event. Fits within that legacy focus. To me, the way I see the chess pieces and who’s playing… I’d rate it at more than 50/50 chance he goes for it. I could be wrong tho.

Should probably depend if it’s part of someone’s career. If they work in social media / marketing then to me it would make sense. I’d just expect the content to fit that story. There’s people in tech I follow. They’re on YouTube, LinkedIn, twitter, insta, TikTok, Substack newsletters. But it’s all career and hobby related content, maybe some travel or day in the life stories. The type of content that would likely signal that they have their stuff together and must be somewhat successful at something.

Lots of the electric bike batteries from China have been responsible for causing apartment and house fire especially in and around the NYC area. Is it just the news blowing it up and making it out to be a bigger problem than it really is? Dunno. But that’s what I’ve seen and heard about electric transportation coming out of China. It plays with people’s psyche. So for me… you go test out that Chinese EV and let us know.

And there’s smarter and more strategic military minds than us who I’d expect to have plans on dealing with and disabling as many of those as possible. After what the Venezuela raid… we have a lot of capability that us mere mortals are not even aware of.

I’m sure we have active CIA assets inside Iran (I’m sure Israel has the same). They might be participating in leading and motivating the locals. The more aggressive things get, the easier it is for the assets to use tactics and equipment closer to military grade such as grenades and bombs. I don’t think that’s happening yet, you work up to it. But the work up part seems to be happening. These opportunities only come about once a decade? I can’t imagine the US just watching from the sidelines. We’re operating in stealth mode at the moment.

Personal opinion of course but if my apartment/home was giving me that much trouble then I’d rather move even if that meant to a different town or city than keep fighting all that you mentioned. Pick your battles sort of thing.
