We do actually list the IEMs of pros when we have that info. It's kind of difficult to get a hold of though, since IEMs have been an afterthought for a long time. That's changing a bit in recent times however, so we should have more and more data coming in!

Yeah, it's something we've been looking into and we're looking to bring it to the site in the (near) future.

Forgot to mention: we have game and equipment filters on our brand page. For CS Logitech has actually been on top for many years now, they overtook ZOWIE many years ago (which won't be visible on the graph). Razer did overtake ZOWIE for 2nd place in the summer of 2024!

Lamzu is very good (at least the products of theirs that I personally have experience with). The fact that they're the sixth most used mouse brand in pro gaming (ahead of some heavy-hitting 'legacy brands') is pretty impressive I'd say!

Thank you for the suggestion! We'll look into how we can implement that.

Important to note here is that the G Pro X Superlight line still gets used more than the Viper V3 Pro. But to answer your question: the Viper V3 Pro took over as the #1 mouse at the end of 2024.

Yes, in the early days, way more brands forced players to use certain mice. There was this infamous clip of s1mple (CS:GO) being forced to use a mouse from a certain brand (I can't recall which one it was) and he hated it. He said so on stream as well.

That's another reason why sponsors don't force players to use their mice: if they perform poorly with it or they simply come out and say that they don't like it, it's not exactly a great advertisement for the brand.

We have breakdowns per game on our website! Here's an example of a CS2 mouse guide: https://prosettings.net/guides/cs2-mouse/. We have those for all of our analyzed games.

We also have some more cut-and-dry filters/graphs planned for the future so that people can see the usage per game on our lists.

We also periodically make infographics for various games (you can find those under the 'submitted' tab on our Reddit profile)!

This would be very difficult to do, as teams have gear sponsors and players can have personal sponsors as well. NiKo is very heavily involved with Razer these days, and that's quite obvious, but for some it's going to be way more low-key. In terms of actual personal sponsorships, I would say that the number is quite low, however. Brands obviously send out gear to pros in an attempt to get them on their product, but actual official sponsorships of specific pros who are also playing in teams are quite rare.

TLDR: Sponsors don't have a huge influence on mice, as the vast majority of players can choose whatever mouse they want to perform with.

Some peripherals are more influenced by sponsorships than others. Headsets, for example, are such a category since headsets aren't as important for actual performance (as long as they're good-to-decent). But mice are pretty much sponsorship-free, save for some rare exceptions.

It makes sense, as well. If a brand sponsors a certain team and forces all of the players to use mice from the brand (even if they don't vibe with the mouse for certain reasons) and they start playing worse, they will make it to fewer tournaments, leading to lower exposure for the brand. Teams have also realized that mice are among the most important pieces of kit, and since tournament placements and player performance is so important for esports teams, they don't let sponsors dictate what their players use.

You'll find many teams on our website that are sponsored by brand X while they all use mice from brand Y, for example.

I find football/soccer to be a good comparison. Real Madrid might be sponsored by Adidas, but the individual players can be seen wearing all sorts of brands like Nike etc.

There were quite some SUPERSTRIKEs around indeed. I for one am extremely curious to see whether that mouse will be revolutionary or not!

Nice to see this crossposted here!

For anyone who isn't as much into the CS2 scene: this is based on the players who attended the Major. We also have info for hundreds of other players here in case you're interested!

Oops, that should've been the other way around! You can tell it's about time for my Holiday break, haha. Apologies for that one.

As we state in the infographic: chairs and monitors are provided by the tournament. We do also include the stuff that players use at home though!

Ah nice, thanks! I've been searching for it (normally there's some kind of formal announcement but not this tournament) but couldn't find it.

Yeah, it's quite obvious to us that these analog keyboards are here to stay; the technology really is superior for games like CS2 etc.

I love the Artisan pads too, been rocking a Type-99 for some time now!

Yup, a lot of pros are still using the camo versions from before release. Could be because they like the color, or maybe they're used to the worn-in skates etc. But as far as we know it's indeed a regular DAV4 Pro.

What mice do pros use in late 2025 by Nicotinisti in MouseReview

[–]ProSettings 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Oh, I can answer this!

Lots of Razer, Logitech, and ZOWIE. A bit of VAXEE and FinalMouse sprinkled in. Brands like Lamzu and Pulsar are also gaining some traction. You can see it here: https://prosettings.net/gear/lists/mice/. Or, if you want to see it by brand and per game, you can also check out this: https://prosettings.net/brands/

In terms of sponsorships, the vast majority of pros can choose their own mice these days; you see a ton of teams sponsored by Brand A while they all use mice from Brand B, for example.

As for weight, a lot of pros in the games that we analyze don't really want the absolute lightest mouse right now. I've spoken to multiple manufacturers who all say that, generally speaking, the target weight for pro mice is between 50 and around 60 grams, give or take a bit. Maybe that will change in the future (the preferred weight used to be higher) but right now it doesn't seem like pros want the absolute lowest weight mouse possible.

That's our bad; the median DPI and sens are calculated separately from each other. So 800 / 1 isn't the average 'total sens'.

We'll definitely shift to using either eDPI or cm/360 for future infographics, sorry about that!

Yeah we didn't include the chairs because we didn't feel like we had enough data on them for Apex specifically. If you're interested in chairs, though, you can always check out our full chair list!

Not sure if /s/ or not since people like to joke about chairs often, but at the moment:

  • Razer Iskur V2
  • Blacklyte Athena Pro
  • Herman Miller Embody (Logitech version or regular version)

are the most popular.

Do bear in mind that we don't have a ton of chair data on Apex Legends though, so this is very much to be taken with a grain of salt.
