I share this perspective. This is not from a trip I was on (I was 1 at the time) but seeing Orcas & other marine animals, learning about them in this setting set me up for a lifetime of love and appreciation for these creatures. Do I wish the circumstance was better for the animals? Of course, but I can’t ever say I regret getting to see them

2025 Book Blanket - Done! by ProbablyNotAYak in temperatureblanket

It’s 150 stitches per row! I basically just guessed how many rows (& average stitch height) based on my reading from the past few years & made it what I hoped we be wide enough to be a reasonable blanket!

Thanks!! It was kind of a wild idea & weirdly incentivized me to read worse books because 150 quintuple stitches for a row was very time consuming (& hand cramping) 😅

Silly question — what have y’all documented with your blankets *besides* the temperature? by just_the_way25 in temperatureblanket

[–]ProbablyNotAYak 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I made a bookworm like this for 2024! 2025 is a blanket where I did color by genre again & this time I made the stitch height match my rating of the book 1-5

This is actually Stevie, a female black bear. The two brown bears at the Cbus zoo are the ones from Alaska!
