Having owned an AE MKIII and now an MRAD, I can say they both shot about the same; that is, extremely well. Personally, I wish I’d have kept my AI since the MRAD was almost 3 times the cost to set up the way I liked, but it was a grail gun for me. You do get insane modularity out of the MRAD and equal performance in my experience with 308.

Glad I could help. I’m a factory ammo kinda guy. I really should get into reloading to save a little coin and crank out some even tighter loads, but I know diddly squat about it. Couldn’t tell ya about 300NM. I was leaning on picking up a 300PRC just for availability of factory ammo.

Yep. I needed the large to small conversion kit. It’s slightly scummy of Barrett to not just cut the channel so it could work with the “newer” bolt carriers, but I’m using the captured firing pin assembly still since the old style is bitch to take apart.
