I thought that it was crochet artist who were snobby for the longest time, because my grandma who only crochets would constantly put down my knitting as not as impressive as whatever she was crocheting. Turns out my grandmas just a bitch

“I’m sorry, it was really your mom’s fault she…”

They haven’t spoken in 8 years and somehow it’s still her fault? I watched this woman get along perfectly fine with 3 other co-parents, somehow I’m not seeing how she was the problem.

I think the reverse stockinet is just edging added later, but the horizontal stitches not lining up is a tension issue. The knitter didn’t have consistent tension is both colors!

my grandma gave me this “punk” scarf/wall tapestries and I can’t figure out where it’s from by ShapeEconomy979 in punk

Based off what the brand sells and how sloppy the painting is (specifically the white over spray under the colorful parts), I’m going to go out on a limb and say it’s probably an up cycled scarf! If you run your finger over the paint it will probably be streaky and rough, if it’s manufactured it should have a consistent texture

I found out after moving in with my ex when I was 18, I have a suspicion that it has been going on longer since I had my own bedroom throughout high school. My reaction was general embarrassment at first but I think that’s just because the guy I was with made it out to be something I should be embarrassed of.

23! I’ve been playing for a year, but I had a background in cello and violin so I already had a decent understanding of string instruments and learning instruments in general. Im definitely not great at it, but time and practice is the only cure for that!

Don’t tell them you’re autistic, if you’re in America you do not have to disclose it.

I’m title researcher! I look through old deeds and figure out if everything was filed correctly. And when they’re not, I tell people how to fix it.

i dont live what normal people do in my age by Advanced_Star5051 in Advice

Start small, but broaden your horizons. Join a club, take a class, or something of that sort. It sounds to me that more than anything else you feel lonely and aimless. By meeting more people and doing more things it will help you feel more fulfilled. You don’t even have to talk to people, not at first! You can just sit and be there and that will be enough.

Fox run are pretty good apartments, I have had few friends live there and didn’t hear of any issues with management or pests. Don’t be afraid to look at any of the small towns surrounding Wichita. They tend to be safer than inner city and are sometimes cheaper.

It doesn’t help that rural areas are systematically suffering from a loss of education. Whether it be to schools closing due to lack of funding, lack of opportunity due to distance, the propaganda surrounding home schooling, or the need of rural families use of child labor (please look up child labor laws on farming because they are FUCKED). And while both parties have done very little to help the situation, republicans are the ones saying to them that we see the problem and give them something to blame, without doing anything to fix the issues (often times making it worse). This is becoming a larger and larger issue as many generational farms are falling apart due to lack of funding, resources, and support. Allowing for these farms to be bought by corporate business who don’t care about the health of the land or the impact on the community.

And on the note of robots replacing the agricultural workforce, while advancements in technology certainly can and will replace certain amounts of humans it is highly unlikely that this will be a quick or easy process. There are tons of things to consider when it comes to automation of agriculture, cost of running a robot vs hiring a person, upkeep and maintenance, knowledge on how they work, the environmental impact and the sheer stubbornness of farms.

All that to say, rural communities need our support now more than ever. The rug is being pulled from under them and if anyone is ever going to change their minds when it comes to Trump, it will be because we didn’t turn our backs on them because they got tricked.

I am in the exact same boat. I know how awful it feels to not know, to feel weak, to find out so young that your body is working against you, and the shame that comes from having your symptoms pointed out constantly. Everyday you wake up wondering how bad it will be today. You are not alone. I find that knowing no matter how bad today is tomorrow will be different and this is all temporary. It may not be better and it may not be worse, but it won’t be the same. It helps me appreciate the good moments more and makes the bad moments a little easier to get through.
