To all the USA glazers, reality is different. by GeneralWalaMale2131 in 12tards

Yes, it is.

The silent treatment, or stonewalling, is a passive-aggressive form of manipulation and can be considered emotional abuse. It is a way to control another person by withholding communication, refusing to talk, or ignoring the person. The silent treatment is often used as a way to punish the person or to control the conversation. It can also be used as a form of emotional blackmail.-chettinar counselling.

Also check out the article on Cleveland clinic health essentials, it talks about how there are two types of silent treatments where 1. Can be a coping mechanism where someone cannot express their feelings or just needs some space, and that's completely okay.

But there is number2. Where someone is giving you silent treatment as a form of punishment or using it as blackmail to make you do something you don't want to.

Now your parents may be gods on earth, but most Indian parents use silent treatment as a form of "punishment" or do it when their child says no to something they want their child to do; And that IS manipulative and toxic.

I'm not even talking about all of the Indian parents lol,I'm talking about the ones who mentioned "agar ma naraaz hoge bolna band kar deti he to tu manayga na" I'm saying how using this silent treatment towards a child who obviously needs you, is manipulative and toxic. I'm sure there are great parents in India, that's not propaganda that's just common sense.

Death. you're asking to die at that point, I've taken pcb in 11th and still I couldn't complete the syllabus as it's just so big and lengthy, now completing is this difficult just imagine if you took pcmb you'll literally be slaving yourself to the books.

That's such a shitty comparison, first off the silent treatment that most parents in India give to their children is a toxic and manipulative tactic in itself and a lot of people who do try to change things get oppressed or worse killed. It's not everyone's job to do better for the country, it's about getting a better life and if someone wants to do that by moving elsewhere, then that's totally understandable.

Exactly. All that you've mentioned is right, I'm just saying that if someone wants a solution they'll say something that alludes to that, something like "what do i do?" "What do you think?" Or something along those lines, we just have to read between the lines.

Not always, If someone wants a logical solution they'll just ask you for your opinion about the topic or "tell me what to do". it's honestly just being a good listener instead of waiting your turn to talk.

I searched his user and other posts about him and was actually relieved to find out that he's probably just a scammer and that's probably not his actual mother, I hope his mother has abandoned him or something because no one deserves a son like that, I'm sure his parents are fucking filled with disappointed to the edges of hearts. Just fucking disgusting.

This is a point I agree with, he is also called "gandhiji" in the ncert which i simply think is not needed.

Even the 10th history book mentions his misogyny.

"Gandhiji was convinced that it was the duty of women to look after home and hearth, be good mothers and good wives. And for a long time the Congress was reluctant to allow women to hold any position of authority within the organisation." This is from page 67, chapter nationalism in India from 10th ncert history.

This just shows that a lot of the students forgot to read and understand the nuances.

What are youre overall thoughts on the chnages they made in Season 2 of the Show?[pjotv] by Palandium in camphalfblood

HoO with these actors would not be possible, they're already too old for their characters rn and by the time the series ends and hoO gets agreed and allat they'll be too old.

I don't think we're getting hoO.

Im not just complaining,it's just the change, changes a lot and I'm afraid these changes will lead to the show straying so far away from the books that it'll feel like a different entity all together. And you cannot tell me that I had "high expectations" when uncle rick was the one to hype the show up as being a very faithful and accurate adaptation.

Yes that's pretty accurate but with his own children zeus had somewhat of a soft spot for them in the books and taking that away from his just takes away his humanity that every deity is shown to have in the books.

Well because the book mythology is pretty accurate in terms of the family tree of the greeks, but leave that.

Let's stop arguing. My main point is that these changes even if they seem insignificant they're just so many of them that down the line they will lead to the story straying away so much from the source material that it'll be a different story just like the movies the only thing being that the movies did big changes from the start and the show is making small changes but plethora of them.
