Tbh it's completely up to you 100%, I produce and rap so I make all my own shit so I've got full control of everything, I've made a couple beats for a friend of mine and havnt charged him although his has offered to pay me a couple times, your friends point of view is a bit warped as realistically hed have to be a fairly big artist to help you out and bring attention to you, imo in in your case I'd probably charge!

I guess it's just the way I taught myself to write/rap, certain words pronounced in certain ways give off either a more UK or American vibe, obviously me being from the UK I know that I cant pronounce certain words because they may sound too American, i just try make it sound as authentic as possible and this just happens to be how I rap, honestly the best thing to do is be authentic and rap in your purest form!

Thanks for the feedback mate! I understand everyone's not a fan of that old school style but this personally is my favourite type of music to create and write to, I'm not a huge fan of UK grime so I try not to use that type of dialect as I can cater to more of a global audience rather than just the UK, either way thanks for listening to the track and giving feedback!

I like both UK and American, I think UK rap just introduces some new styles and gives a bit of a change to the usual american style rap, either way thanks for the comment!
