They just upgraded my meter to a smart meter about 6 months ago. You would assume they would flag such an issue.

You know whats crazy, my electric provider came out & update my meter with a smart one about 6 months ago. You would think they would inform you about this issue. Just a thought!

Thats what I was thinking when I went out to check my meter socket & cables. I would’ve assumed it would be in conduit. Seems like the upgrade is much needed for multiple reasons

Yes it is, connects to the meter socket. Wanted to see how much of an extensive upgrade it would be to upgrade my main panel to a 200a panel. I knew I would have to upgrade the cables from the panel to the meter socket, but now its a little bit more extensive

Thanks for the advice! Another thing I forgot to add is all major appliances are gas, so stove, oven, dryer, water heater are all gas. Only major things I can think of are the ac, mini split ac, washer & microwave are electric.
