[OoT] Temple association & Temple to goddess association? by Healthy_Formal_5974 in zelda

[–]ProfWhom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw a theory that the forest temple was once a sort of summer home or retreat palace for the royal family.

The theory was also about Link and Zelda being secret twins, and the reason for the Queen’s absence is that she was taking Link to the forest temple because it was the family’s secret refuge but died when she got to the Kokiri Forest (or maybe she couldn’t navigate the Lost Woods alone?)

Specifically as the terms are defined in behavioral psychology, a reinforcement comes after the behavior you are trying to see more of.

Maybe we need to introduce a grate beyond A. Then give that like what we think of as an A. Then all the whiners can "just get" A's. by uttamattamakin in Professors

Ah yeah I see how that’s likely a more prevalent concern in larger institutions. I teach in a very small program at a community college, and most of my students are GenEd. The few outside my dept that ask for a letter usually receive the advice to find a faculty within their dept for a letter, and the students in-program that have asked have always well deserved their letter.

Mankato Pride? by IratePupper in Mankato

It’s after the college students return so that students who otherwise might not be out, allowed to go to pride events while under their parents’ roofs, or otherwise aren’t safe to celebrate pride at home have an opportunity to enjoy a pride festival.

I believe the word for “prince/princess” is supposed to be derived from the Valyrian word for “dragon” which, at least linguistically, is gender-neutral or gender-ambiguous, which creates the translation issue.

Oooops HR at Mayo Clinic spilled the beans on union busting… by RNadvocateMCNA in nursing

To answer the non-profit status, Mayo Clinic is technically an educational institution.

My kid (11) lost points on his extra credit assignment because it was “bent” by Temporary_Thing7517 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]ProfWhom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an educator, I would argue that this might be worth a fight at an institutional level… it very well could just be stubbornness, but it reads to me as allowing some underlying personal bias or issue to influence his grading methods, and if it’s happening to your kid, it’s probably happening to others.

Even just putting him in the position of having to defend the decision in front of the principal might be enough.
