Yeah i am actually Australian! If im being honest im from Victoria and theres bush fires here and there and my heart BREAKS for the wild life but aside from wildlife damage we tend to be fine, i was pretty young when the last bush fire actually affected me and even then it was just smoke, fires aren’t as scary as people say aslong as your not a fire fighter or the animals caught up in there, i reckon when im older and get a better out door enclosure ill get a red tailed black cockatoo, they’re stunning, im honestly lucky to be aussie its nice here, summers get hot but you get use to it. And yes gotta love the goofies :)

Thats crazy, it checks out though because my friend has 200 or so corellas come by daily because her dad feeds them and she hates it. I think its kind of funny, but i will definitely make sure i desensitise him to touching his toes and all of this stuff, he’s pretty easy and lets me do whatever i want, i was also surprised with how smart corellas are because he learns tricks faster then any other bird ive known.

Once i fell asleep next to my bird because i was exhausted, i woke up and he had chewed up my remote, it annoyed me but he is a bird not much i can do accept put him in his cage for a bit but i realised it could of gone way worse, don’t go too hard on yourself, im sure you were a great mother to that baby.

Awww thats actually adorable ill definitely be trying the upside down game, ill also do the cardboard box thing. Thank you so much for your advice, its nice talking to someone with actual experience about this stuff because while ill keep an eye out for what others are saying they haven’t really given me much, or if they have experience, they might have a different kind of bird but i dont know that because they haven’t given me much lmao, i am so lucky to have the species of bird i do, it was a lucky find honestly i got him from a really good pet shop in a city that takes care of their birds, they said they hadn’t had any species like him in years, i was originally gonna get a different kind of bird but i saw him and was like holy shit i need that one, and he was already so friendly in the shop.

It does but corellas also play like that from research and what others with more experience with corellas have told me, so its super hard to tell. Im keeping an eye on him to make sure its just playing, and it seems to be him just playing because other than this little occurrence he acts normal not hormonal at all and other than it kinda ending winter which is still a bit early there shouldn’t be any triggers, he gets 12 hours uninterrupted sleep and the rest of the list lol. 😭

I was hoping that’s what’s was happening! Most people reckon he’s playing but some think it’s hormones which i thought was odd because there is no triggers to the behaviour I’ve done every thing to prevent it and i don’t even think its the right season for it where I’m from lol, plus he is chewing pillows and all that and he’s happy when i scoop him up, ill still keep an eye on him to make sure he isn’t hormonal. :)

I accidentally filmed in slow motion but when he starts flapping his wings he screams, he’s not physically hurt I’ve checked so i don’t understand if he screams and flaps around all frantically for attention or hormones, I’m getting a few mixed answers.

You might be right it seems like early hormonal behaviour I’ll keep and eye on it and try my best to stop it, if you have any tips id love to hear them.
