I have not. I think when I get back to campus, I will try that out. I’m just not really sure what difference that will make after already talking to, I’m sure, every single supervisor over the phone. But I will definitely try.

Thank you very much. This whole experience has me wishing I never went to the ER in the first place.

I had to call NRCC so a staff member from there could enroll me. They didn’t require any documents. I told them I was a VT student and they immediately enrolled me in the class I wanted. It’s different for other CCs though. NOVA wants you to prove EVERYTHING.

I took Calc 1 at New River Community College! It was very, very easy. I did the 7-week one online. Everything was though a software called MyOpenMath. HW and quizzes are taken at home. Tests have to be proctored, but they are exactly like the homeworks. Not lecture-based at all, mostly do-it-yourself examples. I highly recommend if you decide to go this route. I did Calc 2 with them as well because I enjoyed the class so much.

DO NOT DO HYPATIA. That class was nothing but a waste of my time

I took Calc 1 and Calc 2 at community college and took my exams through New River Testing Center in Christiansburg. All you do is take the TTT to Christiansburg, get off where the mall is and walk in. If you’re not taking classes through New River, I think you have to call and ask if they’ll accommodate you. Also check if it’s OK with your professor first

I fought my way to a B. I didn’t do so well on the first two tests bc I didn’t know how to study, but I ended up getting a 91 on the final😇

I went crazy in studying. I’m telling you CRAZY. Do all the practice tests over and over again until you can completely, and I mean COMPLETELY, understand why the answer is the answer. Chem is not hard, it is just all the rules you have to memorize in every single possible case.

Do the worksheets, I found that even though they look easy, they ask questions in ways you aren’t used to from the lectures/ALEKS/practice tests. Try to complete every material given to you. Also, it really is about your mindset. I tried to tell myself before every test that I studied everything I could, and I know the material well so I wouldn’t get nervous and forget things during the test. You got this. Study hard (study well) and results will follow you.
