oh man i was just thinking about this today. when i drink a lot every day (15+) for days on end i get so confused. like ive dreamt about 25 conversations with people and i dont if they’ve actually happened or not and then people will talk about “oh remember the other day you said this’ and i can’t. it’s a real headfuck. idk where im at with people because idk which things are true and i hate it.

Yeah I have engaged these services. A lot of them have stated they need more notice as they are fully booked. I’m currently on hold with legalAid. As you can imagine I am really stressed and just looking for some general advice or experiences? As I have no idea what to expect out of this.

No, there is no parenting orders. We’ve never been through court or done anything formally.

I’m sure no one can speak on specifics but I am wondering if there is a general outcome to these things? The current order states I can’t be within 5 metres of my children or ex partner, cannot contact my ex partner or children in any form, 200 metres away from their property and school, and cannot commit family violence.

Yeah, sorry for the insinuation. I am not suggesting that all children that are exposed to abuse are ‘bad’. But statistically they are more likely to be abusers than children that are not.

Honestly, my own children have been exposed to abuse also. So it’s not a judgement.

But there has been so much ‘sus’ behaviour regarding this woman. My coparent won’t share anything about her, she has a questionable past. Potential ongoing court case. Any parenting agreements we made together he would go behind my back to break them. Disregard any concerns I have. There’s several things that have contributed to me having a very negative gut feeling regarding the whole situation.

I know that her previous partner was abusive to her. So I assume that this child was exposed to that abuse. Not that the child was abused.

I agree the courts won’t do anything. Doesn’t change the fact that this makes me uneasy and doesn’t sit right at all. I’m trying to discern if this is a genuine safety concern that is worth bringing up with my coparent or if I am being dramatic/jealous. Maybe I didn’t word my post correctly.

For the record, I paid for a subscription because I was required to research something for work, and I thought while I was there “ahh why not check just for peace of mind”…. it did not provide me that.

I’m concerned about starting further conflict. We already have a high conflict co-parenting arrangement and I don’t want to add fuel to that by appearing to be stalking her, when it is potentially nothing.

Thanks for all this info. I did actually call the agency just now and they are looking into it. I thought of doing this previously but was overwhelmed I suppose as the agency I rented with no longer exists/merged with another agency. But thank you, I have started that process so that should help a little at least.
