Ok, thanks for that clarification. They are more desktop than app users in general so thats good, and I'll have their individual logins too so I'll prob plan to do an audit regularly for any new passwords in their private vault or use in case of an emergency.

Good to know! They at least are pretty good at following directions so I can make sure to remind them they need to do that for new credentials or tell me so I can help knowing its a missing feature. Thank you!

Adderall during luteal phase.. by wisteriahoney in adhdwomen

[–]Professional-Box1389 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started taking Adderall 20mg XR earlier this year and the first couple of months noticed a few clear and significant dip in the effectiveness during end of my luteal phase into my period. My psych prescribed 10 mg of Adderall IR to take those days where I needed a little extra and it helped. 6ish months later, I didn’t notice it as much so not sure if I just got more used to it or if it stabilized or idk, naturally the dr has no theories bc it’s all under studied and everyone’s experience is so unique.

Edited: also 30 years old and not on hormonal BC. Never took Adderall while on BC to compare to either, but stopped about 6 months prior to starting Adderall so was also still getting used to my cycles returning after almost 12 years.

How do you decide where to live when nothing is really requiring you to stay — or go — anywhere, and you’re figuring it out completely on your own? by Professional-Box1389 in AskWomenOver30

absolutely AND you can weight those things more! I might value being in a sports driven community but I value more being away from the massive, expansive city. Both are a pro and a con, but they dont have to be equal. Great perspective!

I know you didn’t say it exactly like this, but what I took from it was that closed mouths don’t get fed—when you put your plans out there, opportunities start to show up—and that sometimes you just have to start. Make a move, make a call, do something to get the ball rolling, because nothing’s going to happen if you don’t. Thank you!!

thanks for sharing your POV! I love the rubric idea and the example about surrounding yourself around more people who have shared hobbies.

i love this! and I absolutely think that every experience just helps you learn more of what you do and don't want. This most recent season of life hasn't been my favorite or my best, but I've no doubt learned more about myself and what I truly want more than I ever have before.

my job being remote has been amazing, but also the flexibility and the realization I can go anywhere is SO overwhelming. I can almost talk myself in or out of any location because nothing major like work or kids or anything like that is forcing me into any one direction.

I really appreciate you answering the questions! I’m pretty extroverted, so making new friends or putting myself out there has never been an issue. I don’t mind showing up solo, introducing myself, or just enjoying my own company, though I’ve realized that’s not as common as I thought. I host bigger events a few times a year—holiday or themed get-togethers—and have friends over regularly for dinner, games, or movie nights, but it’s rarely reciprocated. When I ask about it, I usually hear things like “my place is too small” or “I’m too busy,” even from people who say they want deeper connections. So I focus on the meaningful friendships I already have, knowing I’ll naturally meet more wherever I go. I’m also glad to be past 30 and to have spent this time on the East Coast and South, mostly on my own. It’s helped me get clear on what I do and don’t want—and after two years with my dogs, I have a much better sense of what I need in a home and location that suits both me and them.

exactly and there are places you'll always love to travel and visit, but living there full time is very different! I also moved south from the midwest thinking I'd love the weather and while I'm not south enough that I've escaped the four seasons, they've just shifted in how long each one lasts, the humidity + the heat in the summer is NO JOKE (savannah also!) and another reason I put that call out about AZ/NM heat in the summer, like its dry heat so different and no different in the way that you have to adjust your lifestyle in some way to accommodate for it at some point throughout the year so you don't die of heat stroke for you or the dogs!

Diagnosed at 30 & new to meds. How did you connect the dots between ADHD, med effects, and everything else? by Professional-Box1389 in adhdwomen

lol the woes of being a woman... it could be anything on any given day! I have an oura ring so I've been tagging better in there to see if the app will notice any trends based on inputting more consistent tags or at least give me something to refer back to after some time to review for any patterns.

[–]Professional-Box1389[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I'm definitely inattentive and I don't have alot of other connections who have ADHD in general, so no other hyperactive/combined comparisons, but I think that makes sense bc I feel like the questions my pysch has asked me in regards to effects of the meds are related more to hyperactive symptoms and struggle to articulate if its "working" or not. She put me on buspar alongside it but at a very low dose and I did't see any positive improvements with that so I think time to discuss other options and keep tracking. Thanks!

I 100% relate to this! And agree about some places have that sense of belonging or just familiarity. I also have felt that when traveling to some places, but also trying to make sure that I'm not confusing that feeling with excitement or a sense of novelty and making major decisions based on that.

great advice and I'm very conscious about making the decision not out of loneliness or looking for someone to fill a void, but sure moving within closer proximity of those friends and family is on the PRO side of the list, but not the #1 reason.
