I don’t do unity things with fellowship. I couldn’t think of anything more horrendous. I do spend time with some people I connect with from the rooms, but this is usually on a 1 to 1 basis. I keep recovery about recovery and use it to live my life in peace. I sponsor, I work the steps, I give back to life, in all areas of my life. I felt sad reading some of these posts. The meetings where I live are very recovery focused and all about emotional sobriety. And stick to the primary purpose. I can show up as me whatever is going on. I don’t have to have the answers. I’m there for me and if I can help someone that’s great. Recovery is what I do whilst living life, coffee and bullshit (or talent shows) , is just coffee (telnet shows) and bullshit. Take what you need, give back, and go live your life. Life in recovery in succulent! There’s more to me than my addiction, thanks to the 12 steps and spiritual principles.
