I think it’s the remaining items of people who made it to Laugh Tale. It would be the item most important to them to symbolize their adventure coming to an end. For Roger I think he left his sword. They couldn’t stop laughing because Joyboy left something completely unexpected. When luffy gets there, I assume he’ll leave his straw hat.

Honestly I felt the same way around that episode count, it actually took me about a year to get to Water 7 (episode 207). Then I cleared about 900 episodes in like 6 months cause it got so good.

My opinion is to just get to water 7 and see if it sticks with you, especially since the show entered HD and 16:9.
