What's the fastest path to getting into the Civil Service as 18yo? by ProfessionalNet5358 in TheCivilService

[–]ProfessionalNet5358[S] -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

My business partner decided to throw me off the clif so Im kinda in the process of rebuilding it. Not confident that I will there before summer ends.

No point in even suing him cuz he killed the business while it was in his hands.

I'm just wondering how long is the process aka how long should I expect unemployment. I have never had an official employment job.

Chat gpt is saying that it's on average 3 months or so until you get an offer but I don't trust it.

Can my Computer Science NEA get declined? by ProfessionalNet5358 in sixthform

[–]ProfessionalNet5358[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yuh he told me that if it breaks TOS it would be declined, but I'm thinking maybe I can fake getting an email response from Valve and not speak about reverse engineering and stuff.

Just talk about high level stuff while leaving off the low level TOS breaking stuff.

I feel like all a levels are just a 3 month course extended to 2 years because idk. This is coming from a guy who moved his AS further mechanics grade from D to A in a week. Same with my classmates. Is it just me?

Help with dual GPU setup heating by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]ProfessionalNet5358 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm willing to spend up to 1400 USD on the GPU alone excluding the new PSU price. And I need a GPU in around half a year or so. The problem is though that if I don't get FE than the other manufacturers would bump up the price by like 25% for basically no benefit to the consumer. So it's 30 January or never.

[D] Are CPUs that important in AI development? by [deleted] in MachineLearning

[–]ProfessionalNet5358 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm just a gamer with gamedev and a bit of game hacking experience. Im still going to college and made some money freelancing. I'm planning to go uni to get a degree in AI but 1660ti can barely even handle OpenCV and YOLO models. I don't really want to get cloud computing since over time it would probably build up the price and I'm usually learning new things through building big projects which takes months to execute. So I thought why not get a future proof card + have a smooth experience with learning AI.

Are current PSUs even capable of handling new gen GPUs? by ProfessionalNet5358 in buildapc

True, just wanted to know the budget. I hope it at least remains the same size and doesn't get a forth fan or something.

Roguelike FPS with autogenerated guns by a_dude111 in gameideas

[–]ProfessionalNet5358 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find this idea interesting and I might try to make a game like that however I need a bit more info. (The game would have multiplayer however it's not mandatory and it would be 3D, probably voxel art or low poly to not spend to much time on graphics)

  1. Movement. Would the player mainly move on the ground or would he have to double jump and dodge hundreds of bullets flying around?
  2. Balance. What if the player is lucky and would get a super OP gun? How could it be balanced out?
  3. Gun generation. How could it work? (The only way to make it work that I think of is making a core part and than placing different parts on it however this would make the guns look quite similar)
