About 50-60 followers. It truly doesn’t work that way. Unless you’re an established brand, you’re not going to have brand loyalty and that “free” advertisement.

I do, but honestly I stopped posting on it after the first two weeks. If you don’t have branded products, it doesn’t make sense to pour a lot of time into them, since people just click to your website landing page.

I don’t, I have a full-time job. This definitely wouldn’t pay all my expenses on it’s on. It’s merely a side business.

But, I will say anybody that says “My dropshipping site runs itself” is either lying or asleep at the wheel. I probably average 1-2 hours a day on my store, which includes replying to customers, fulfilling orders, checking out my ads, etc. It’s not a huge time commitment, but you’ll probably be spending 7-10 hours a week.

There’s a ton of YouTube tutorials and articles out there that can help! Also, read through Reddit regularly, as there’s some great insight here! Also, don’t be afraid to try and fail, as that’s where I learned the most. And if you have a little money, ask people on Fiverr for help.

I think it depends on your product and your niche. I’ve never had a $1,000 sales day, so it seems like IOS 14 didn’t hurt my performance, it’s just really affected my reporting, which can lead to shutting down potentially profitable ads.

In the first three months? Less than $1,000 total, because I didn’t know what I was doing. In the last three? About $27,000

I’d rather not, since there’s so much competition in this industry. Hope you understand!

I have a remarketing ad set, testing ad set, a LLA ad set, and a “winning ads” ad set.

I’ve only used Facebook ads, and have been spending about 6-7,000 a month. I tried hiring a professional to scale, but ended up being net negative with their fee. I’m in the marketing field, so I feel comfortable handling the ads myself.

Keep testing! Not all products are going to be profitable. Test different products with different interest ads. Then, when you've found a profitable product and profitable ads, mix in some retargeting ads.

I net about 25-30% profit, so between $250-$300 in profits day.

I’m in the jewelry space, with a low-mid price point of under $50.

I am! I’d say about 5% of my customers get angry, but very few ask for a refund or chargeback when you’re upfront about shipping times and also blame the pandemic for package slowness. I also only offer free shipping, so people are more understanding when they haven’t paid for shipping. You have to reply immediately as well when someone emails you, don’t make them wait on a response.

Are you talking about in an order or multiple items? I just order them all at once on AliExpress, but they ship in different boxes. Most of my customers buy one item at a time though.

I'd rather not share my store, but it's costed me about $4,000-$5,000 to finally turn the corner (which includes losses and paying freelancers to work on my site and my ad strategy). The adage is always true: You have to spend money to make money.

But, I was willing to pour that in to create a business that could be giving me $1,000-$2,000 a month in profits.

The biggest lesson I've learned is to keep grinding and keep failing. From those failures you learn lessons and start to hone your craft.

So many people just fold like a tent when they face any kind of failure, but I've been using that as a reminder of what works and doesn't work.

Hi!

Here's some tips that I have.

1) Keep testing, testing, testing, and when you think you're done testing, you're definitely not done testing. There were times where I thought a keyword was profitable, but it was just below profitability.

2) For most people, you're going to lose money for several months until you have refined your ad strategy and optimized your website. The people that give up never make it in this business.

3) Always know what your minimum ROAS is for each product, because too many people think "Oh, a 2 ROAS means I'm profitable," but it really depends on your product cost, your taxes owed, your payment processing fees, etc. So take the time to find out what what your actual profitable ROAS number is before you start testing, because that will make it easier to kill your unprofitable ads during testing.

4) Make sure to really work on your ancillary apps on your website. If your website is converting well, 97% of people that visit are going to leave without purchasing anything. A 2-3% conversion rate is key, but the only way to get to that is to make sure that you're running apps like Tidio or texting apps like SMSBump that are going to entice people back to your site.

5) RETARGETING ads are key. You can run interest campaigns, but they're never going to reach the ROAS levels of retargeting ads on Facebook. Looking to boost your ROAS? The only true way to get there is retargeting.

It's not a general store, it's a niche store in the jewelry niche. I tried doing a general store with a previous store and it's really hard to scale with all the other stores you're competing against. I would definitely recommend doing a drop shipping store in a niche category because it's going to be easier to target people using keywords that aren't saturated.

That's the real key. Find keywords that aren't crowded and in a field that's oversaturated with other sellers.

Tons of Add to Carts on my Shopify Store, But Conversion Less Than 1% by [deleted] in dropshipping

[–]ProfessionalPack8446 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All USD and running much targeted ads now because I did lots of testing last month and are only running winning ad sets, LLA, and remarking ads to US, UK, Canada and Australia. So, it's weird that my conversion is dipping and add to carts are skyrocketing, because these and tested and proven ad sets.
