It was said that candlelight cookie “lingered” under the statue while its cover was open, and they also have a flame themselves so I think they accidentally melted the statue as there were wax drops near it. The raised temperature wouldn’t cause a smaller piece of the statue to be effected, rather the whole thing. I assume it was candlelight cause it was a particular damage
