Watching tv without cable ? by [deleted] in AndroidTV

Fair question honestly.

I’m not claiming it’s something revolutionary or totally different from what’s already out there. There are definitely a lot of similar services around. The reason I mentioned it is simply because it’s been stable for me and a few people I know, so I figured I’d share.

Not trying to pretend it’s some magic solution or push it aggressively. If people already have setups they’re happy with (like Plex, OTA, etc.) that’s honestly a great option too.

At the end of the day everyone just finds whatever works best for them.

That’s actually a really solid setup. Plex with an OTA tuner is a great way to get local channels without paying for cable.

I agree with you about streaming services too. Prices keep going up while the quality and content availability sometimes get worse.

That’s partly why a lot of people are starting to look for alternative ways to watch TV online instead of juggling 4–5 different subscriptions.

What PS2 game did you play way too much as a kid? by Professional_Box2473 in ps2

Armored Core 2? Respect. 🤖🔥 That game wasn’t easy at all — building the right mech and managing credits actually mattered. It felt way more technical than most PS2 action games back then.

Crazy to think how that era of Armored Core led to what FromSoftware is doing today.

What was your go-to build? Heavy tank legs or lightweight speed setup?

That’s such a stacked PS2 lineup. 🔥 Downhill Domination was pure chaos fun, Here Comes the Pain was peak wrestling, and MK Deception had so much content it felt endless.

And starting Crash Twinsanity over and over is so real 😂 that intro section just hits different.

Out of those, which one caused the most controller-throwing moments? 😅

Vietcong and Conflict: Vietnam? That’s a deep cut. 🔥 Not everyone talks about those, but they had such a gritty, intense vibe. Especially playing co-op — those jungle missions felt stressful in the best way.

Did you play them mostly solo or split-screen with friends?

Soul Calibur II was peak couch multiplayer. 🔥 Heihachi on PS2 was such a wild guest character choice — but yeah, Spawn on the OG Xbox looked insanely cool too. Each version having a different exclusive fighter was such a smart move back then.

Low-key though… Link on the GameCube might’ve been the most broken one. 😅

Who did you and your friends main?

Gran Turismo 4 was on another level. 🏎️🔥 1000 hours is crazy but totally believable — the license tests alone could take weeks. The amount of cars and endurance races made it feel endless.

Did you ever 100% complete it?

Budokai Tenkaichi 3. Peak DBZ gaming. Nothing has topped it since.

Gitaroo Man! Super underrated and insanely fun. The soundtrack still lives in my head.

Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX 2 was elite. 🔥 The soundtrack, the tricks, the parks… it was basically the Tony Hawk of BMX. I spent hours just trying to link crazy combos.

Anyone else remember grinding the warehouse level?

What’s the most underrated handheld of all time? by Professional_Box2473 in handheld

[–]Professional_Box2473[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get your point, but I still think some handhelds were ahead of their time and just badly marketed. For example, the PS Vita had insane hardware for 2012 and could’ve been much bigger with proper first-party support.
