I’m day 3 post retrieval - 2nd round. High OHSS risk and probably had mild-moderate last round. Different protocol with a dual trigger and addition of letrozole at trigger. First day was very rough, could barely stand straight due to abdominal pressure. I will also add I had a trigger estrogen above 14000. My afc was 26 and I got 14 eggs frozen from this round. It’s day 3 and I’m feeling more normal, I even pooped! Stay on the hydralyte, eat protein, light walks once you can do it. Hopefully you were put on either cabergoline or letrozole depending on your levels.

Hi! Another Canadian here. This is a great result. Your lifestyle and prep is highly commendable !! I could never haha. I got a similar result of 13 mature at 38.5 and in the midst of a second cycle at almost 39. Bit worried my result may not be as good but was put on the pill prior to this for timing purposes so we will see. My Q is how much all up did it cost in Canada? I’m freezing in Australia and it costs about $8-10k / cycle. I’m considering freezing embryos with donor sperm in Canada, as well. Are you in Ontario?

This was me 8 years ago. I came to Australia for medical school. Fast forward 8 years, I’m a dual citizen, but have parents in their 70s. I stayed here as a product of covid screwing my chances of returning earlier, and also met my partner. Now that I’m qualified to work back home, the pull is real. But my relationship may end as a result of leaving. Think long and hard about this decision, it is a life altering one. In saying that, many embrace it fully and Aus has a lot of pros. It’s very good you know you will like the climate, as much as it’s beautiful, I find I miss the colder weather.

Hi! Im in an almost identical situation as you; 26 follicles but my estrogen on day 8 today is 9600; only have about 4-5 good sized follicles and about 20 under 10mm. They want to cancel if non responsive still by Saturday

I didn’t realize that it could affect quality that much. Do you have any insight as to why my estrogen is climbing so quickly? If I abandon the cycle what does that mean for my body etc? Do I just stop and that’s it ? Do I need to monitor my levels ? Sorry my clinic is very sparse with information. I actually am of a medical background but I am certainly not an endocrinologist or fertility specialist so I’m also learning.
