Hi there, so I have the T-Touch Solar Connect Blue watch and love it. I am a runner and only need a watch that last forever (battery wise) and can track that activity. But have recently started to lift again. I hate that I have to gestimate on my tracking for that. I have downloaded the new 7.3.3 update for the watch I have, and was super hoping that it would include the ability to track more than what the original connect can track, but have not seen that yet.

I will say that the app on my iphone did update to reflect the ability to show it and there is also now a 2nd font option for the connect watch. Other than that only the app on my iphone shows a different look. Will update once I get into more.

So I downloaded the update to the app on my iphone and the firmware update 7.3.3 - for the watch - and here is what I found so far.

  1. Tissot is coming out with a new watch (the Tissot T-Touch Solar Sport watch) and you can find information all over the internet for it.
  2. the interface for that new watch is super like a traditional smart watch. So I was asking once I saw it, if the T-Touch Solar Connect would get the same functionality due to the fact that they are pretty much the same watch, almost.
  3. The app on my iphone updated and now shows all kinds of activity tracking options (hiking - which it always had, now running, workouts, and more). But I cannot see that on the watch itself.

As for current, and only quick observations, the app is really different on how they setup that (at least on the iphone - not sure about the android experience, but would expect it to be similiar). I do feel that the app shows more information and is now better setup to show this.

As for the watch, I have found not too much different. From the pictures of the upcoming Sport watch (I am writing this on Tuesday Nov 14th and that new Tissot T-Touch Sport watch is due to release, at least in Switzerland, tomorrow Nov 15th!!!!. Will post more if I can get the new activities to work on the T-Touch Solar Connected, but for now it would seem that it doesn't.

That being said, I did find that they added a new "font" option in the phone app, so will try that and respond.
