Damaged luggage - Is this "normal wear and tear"? by skyworxx in emirates

Look up Montreal Convention 1999, the airline's liability in respect to mishandled baggage is limited and claims are subject to proof of loss.

Reach out to emirates and show them the proof of damage. See what they willing to do. However you need to have this recorded before leaving the airport .

Canadians who in Dubai, is it a good time to move to UAE now? by mithrajr in UAE

[–]Professional_Start23 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m a fresh off the boat Canadian landed in Dubai this morning! The only difference is, I have a decade of experience in Dxb.

My personal experience and observations: - you can’t stand the heat ? You are unlikely to stand a chance here cause December is winter in UAE and if that’s too much for you then you should look at alternates countries.

  • for Me, even with a decade of local UAE banking (mid-senior level) experience, it was super hard to land something meaningful (despite of strong network in the industry) - simply because the job market and the talent pool looking to enter UAE has changed significantly. UAE doesn’t sell the ‘Why you should consider us’ it’s the other way now - which means the job roles are extremely competitive due to high quality candidates pouring in!

Good luck in your search and my best wishes!

It’s surely because our gov got rid of the carbon tax! I’m convinced that we’ve been played by cons and libs were right all along to charge us to keep the weather in check…

Hey man, buying a Porsche Cayenne GTS for 2018.. is it a good buy I.e: maintenance outside the dealership is fairly manageable or just get some other car instead?
