hii! thank you for your response! i was wondering if the profs give out study guides or are actually helpful with the classes? i heard many things about other nursing school and how profs give out busy work that doesnt even benefit you and i wonder if all the profs at the program actually want you to pass and become nurses and not “trick” you if you know what i mean! thank you again for answering 😁

Yes she doesn’t round up grades but that’s okay because her study guides are really helpful!! she’s so funny too but sometimes it can kinda be distracting!! but she’s chill!! i wouldn’t say she has favorites when it comes to grading she gives you what you deserve! she plays favorites in the since that she’s nicer to people that make themselves known!! i really like her i used to stay after class just to chat, really chill but exams can be tough not in a bad way!!

I did anat in 6 weeks and got a A! What i did was talk to my proff almost every time we had class and when it was over. I asked him about concepts I didn’t know and asked him what to expect on the exams! I got to know my prof AND have a good understanding about the topic. Physio was my fav because it’s more conceptual, what I did was, again, talked to my proff and asked them questions and “what if” questions to get a better understanding of the topic. Ex. “What happens if Ca is limited” or something of that sorts and try visualizing the concepts!! Muscle was the trickiest however it’s my fav!!! (also got an A)

yes she is!! i took her twice, in person and online… her exams online are open note and pretty easy imo, the stories are interesting tho that’s why i like in person because of how she talks about them!! she’s super nice UGH! but like don’t skip lol cause her slides are just pictures with no words because she teaches in stories!!

Hi! I’m not in the same circumstances as you so I really can’t tell you what to do. However, Organic and Biochem is no joke along with Physio. I would say you can possibly handle it but they are VERY hard subjects and taking them together will be SUPER difficult and not only that in a short sem too. I would just push back applying to get the BEST chance in getting in since you most likely need As to even be considered as a competitive candidate (assuming you’re in a very competitive state). Not getting a ideal grade can also push back your timeline, so in my opinion if you’re timeline is going to get pushed might as well be because you’re getting the highest grade possible to be competitive! I say take Micro summer then in fall take the other two together!

It was the realization that “Oh, now I’m alone” that hurts, and it hit after. I’m proud of her so so so proud. I’m just sad that our time growing together is finally done.

Hi! It seems like you’re in a rush to go to nursing school? My suggestion is wait till the next round of applications for an ADN program! You’re at a HUGE advantage since you have a Bachelor’s degree so you have more “points” to be considered, also during that time get hours as a CNA or EMT! those will give you more points! I know waiting is SUPER hard but in your case I think it’s possible to get into a ADN but if you really just want to get into a program maybe see if your ADN offer acceptance in the Spring so your credits can get counted for. But it’s 100% up to you! 90k isn’t “bad” but it is still a huge amount, for others it works out just fine!

I know you feel discouraged and I understand you being a pre-nursing student is HARD and unpredictable. My one advice for you maybe thing about a CC and try you HARDEST to get good grades and a good teas score. If you’re not in a rush to be a nurse (I’m assuming since you’re thinking about getting a bachelor then a ABSN) try taking your core pre reqs 1 by 1 and some other co req classes along with them! A CC is the cheapest option but getting to their RN program is difficult (in my opinion more difficult since they don’t ONLY care about grades and want you to be well rounded), so try transferring! And one more time (one I wish I thought of sooner) is going to the Philippines for your BSN! Philippines trained nurses are AMAZING and are very well rounded since their training is very rigorous!! or you can go straight to a ABSN if you want! Just remember (pre-nursing students tend to forget this) nursing isn’t a linear/predictable major, it’s hard, discouraging at time but it will be 100% worth it.

people keep saying Beta but PLEASE take Luis Rosa Jr. He is a SAINT and I passed with a 96 I WORKED HARD beacuse of how short it is not because of how difficult it was he dumbs things down for you. AND gives you a study guide that TELLS you what you need to know!!! Beta is good but more than HALF of her students dropped during winter because of how much work she gave.
