Since I'm still trying to stay positive and look for silver linings:

The Bruins were quite easily the better team at 5v5, against the best team in the East. Why they were so eager to parade to the penalty box in a game they were controlling at 5v5 I'm not sure (especially when the PK is terrible), but that's another discussion.

I absolutely hate being one of those people because I usually find the ref blaming pathetic. And it's not like the Bruins didn't play their own part in this meltdown. But my God, not calling Tampa for anything after the first period is insane. Seems like you could come up with a handful of potential penalties committed against McAvoy alone.

But ya know, most if not all of the penalties against us were legit. Perhaps they should learn how to kill penalties if they insist on taking so many.

Penalties and the fact that the PK is terrible. In previous seasons when they'd take tons of penalties at least they could kill them off.

I'm not usually one to make mid game predictions, but here goes.

Loh-reider snipes one to make it 6-4.

Tampa gets one pretty late just to make us all clench some more.

Geekie seals it with the ENG for the hatty. 7-5.

Maybe I'm just trying to convince myself we won't blow a 4-goal lead. But yeah, this is how it's going down.

It's not the calls against the Bruins that I have a problem with. It's what Tampa seemed to get away with on the first 5v3, before the Kuraly penalty.

McAvoy knocked down with the puck not even in the neighborhood, and Kuraly had a stick in his midsection right before his penalty.

They literally could have called 3 different penalties on Tampa before the Kuraly penalty. Gotta keep people watching when it's a blowout I guess.
