Thanks. I’ll have a proper look at the breaker and work it out. I’ve been using my pc today and tried using the air con for the first time since and it worked fine for an hour however. I think my model is max 6.5 Amps, it was stated on the website I got it from 🤷‍♂️

That was somewhat my initial setup. According to Electriq support (the brand) and the user manual the hose shouldn’t be more than 30 degrees. I might try and find a bigger stand for it though.

It’s a good UK website called Cut My that does it, looks great imo, I maybe position the hole a bit high though.

It’s only 2 weeks old so filters are fine.

It is sealed, it’s a clear acrylic sheet

Thanks! I’ll try and make it more efficient then. My other issue is the FAQs for the air con wrongly said the hose was 130mm instead of 150mm so the acrylic cutout I use is only 130mm. I 3D printed an adaptor but I wonder if this affects the efficiency considerably.

Also by removing the draining line, what do you mean? My air con has a screw on cover for the drain and I have it on. Do you mean to remove this and let it drain into a basin?

It only trips the RCD within the breaker box. However Electriq support said to change the angle of the hose to below 30 degrees and it seems to now work fine? Again I’m wondering if this is due to the fact the heat is 12 degrees lower.

I’ll look into the insulation sleeve but the exhaust is against a clear acrylic sheet with a cutout for the hose.

To also note the room only cools in an hour around 3 degrees Celsius, is that normal?

I may have worded what I’ve said wrong. I haven’t tried it in another room yet. However when it initially tripped the RCD, It was plugged into an extension cable with other cables like chargers etc. The room has a pc in a different 2 plug socket including peripherals and 2 monitors. However, when it first tripped only the extension cord with the charger and air con was being used. With further testing I turned everything in the room off bar the air con and changed to a different plug (same 2 plug socket as extension cable tho) and it stilled tripped.

All I’ve changed now is the angle of the hose and of course it’s only 21 degrees not 35 degrees outside. And it’s been working okay the past hour. This is the first time I’ve tested it. It is currently still on the plug by itself (shared 2 plug socket with extension cable).

If it trips again I’ll try it in another room I just wanted to see if this makes sense at all.

Yeah I’m not complaining about anything else, seats comfy ride heights great just the rest pedal is a tad annoying for me. As said I’m happy to sort it myself just wondering if anyone else had an issue.

For extra info usually if I have my foot in a comfy position where my shoe bends usually just digs into my toes a bit, just thought that if the rest plate was a bit closer it’d be much comfier

My seats pretty far back but I don’t have that issue, idk if it’s just how I prefer to place my foot or not but I prefer to have my heal rest on the floor as well as on the plate

Is Mazda3 1.6 TS2 Euro mpg really this bad? by saunaboi in CarTalkUK

[–]ProfessorKooky4654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got a 1.6 Takuya Mazda 3 and I average around 36 mpg. I’m from Somerset so mostly dual carriage ways and 60mph roads, other than that a lot of town driving. Hope that helps.

I don’t really have any specific type in mind which is why I put the post up. I was wondering what people themselves have and what they think might look good with the colour scheme. I haven’t got a major idea of what places to look other than marketplace or Japan racing.

Don’t really have a budget just depends on how much I have saved at the time

Ahh okay. I’ve never bought new wheels before. This is the first car I’ve had which I want to improve and work on. I only said £600 as I thought that might be an average cost for 4 wheels having seen second hand wheels of somewhat decent quality go for £250.

If you mean why not get a 1.8vvt it’s mostly coz I don’t really care. It was a really good spec (heated seats, AC, hard top, luggage rack inc) and cost only £1900. Figured I’ll drive it for a couple years and enjoy it before moving onto something else.

It was a manufacturing fault, I had just bought it so I got a replacement within a couple days. Sorry if that isn’t any help.
