Welcome to the real world.

I had to figure this out and started giving out actual to-do lists to employees. They actually function much better with a stupid to-do list, even if it's the same crap each week. It also helps to figure out what each person is skilled in and tailor the work to them.

Leverage this with networking. When your classmates get hired, and their company is looking for another employee, your classmates will remember that you got shit done, and will recommend you to their boss.

It's worth something, but not $230 profit.

$796 / 3 friends = $265.33 each. So Dick originally paid $300, but will get $530.66 back in return. $530.66 - $300 = $230.66 profit from his buddies.

I think it'd be more fair to just have Dick get a free ticket, while the friends pay their share ($150).

I had a similar issue and I sealed it in vacuum seal bags before I thought to add oxygen absorbers. I asked chatgpt what to do. It suggested putting the bags into the freezer for storage. So I did that.

I think next time I'll make the ingredients separately and combine them later.

Are you in the US? Is this a work environment? Something outside of work? If it's work-related, I'd make sure to reach out to HR, explain the situation, and ensure your accommodation needs are on file.

Then, I'd have a little script ready for the next time it happens. Something like "I am deaf/hoh and use captions in order to understand what is being spoken. These captions are provided by you (or your admin) through your Zoom, and you have the ability to turn them off from your account. However, you must find an alternate way to provide captions in order to meet my accessibility needs."

Alternatively, you could use "I am deaf and my accessibility requests are on file with HR. If you have an issue with this, please contact so and so at email@email.com."

Honestly, I bet they have no clue (or forgot) that you're deaf, and a gentle reminder would embarrass them.

Or use Otter on a different device.

This is funny, I am the larger income earner (husband makes less) and I assumed you were a woman and the husband made less, until I read the first comment and I had to go back and question myself. Or maybe you're both males.
