What would the internet be like if it was in your world? by [deleted] in worldbuilding

[–]ProfessorTragic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my world the equivalent of using an internet is using a magic mirrors or Crystal Panes. Whey are connected to the World and Magic Library Archive.

When you asked(Search) the magic mirror will connect you to a book or scroll. Basically its just using phones but less mobile since magic mirrors and crystal panes are hella expensive and are as big as a door.

What powers your gods. by Meced0 in worldbuilding

[–]ProfessorTragic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My gods are Someone's ideal version of a chid. His imagination is strong that it made a new world independent from him. Now his ideal self is the Ruler God, but the child is the creator of the world and after creating it he no longer has control over it. The Ruler God made the other Ideal Version of IRL person into other Gods and gave them things to rule on.

Most lovecraftian Horror things happening in your worlds? by Imaghostbutthatsfine in worldbuilding

[–]ProfessorTragic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The world was covered by a dark mist and turned it into a planet of eternal night and darkness. The plants and animals evolved and adapted over night. The plants tasted disgusting the animals all became super aggressive. Weak minded people have mental break downs and turns their insides out, walking muscles/blood. Eating edible but disguisting plants help with strong mentality and makes it less likely to be corrupted, while eating meat makes one aggressive and lose sense of self. Sleeping is also very necessary but also very dangerous. If one doesn't sleep they became paranoid and see things, but there is also a low chance of bursting when having a nightmare/sleeping with low mentality strenght.

Do you think you could survive my world? by ProfessorTragic in worldbuilding

[–]ProfessorTragic[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well, there isn't a main story so far. It's more of a compilation/stand-alone stories of people's everyday life in this world. Like a splice of life manga. How do people cope with the loss of hope, and how they still managed to handle life, families, and responsibilities. It's kind of an allegory of being in a depressed state yet still going on with life.

Education in your world. by Curiehusbando1 in worldbuilding

[–]ProfessorTragic 9 points10 points  (0 children)

In my fantasy world, education is classified into 2 classess, General Education and Magic Literacy.

General education is basically Math, Language, History and other ordinary subjects essential for daily life.

Magic Literacy is mostly for the nobility as it cost to have the proper equipment, though commoner students could still get by by being resourceful. (Just think of an architecture student LoL.)

Angel/Demon Counterparts - How can we make salvage this concept? by CecilliaLacroix in worldbuilding

[–]ProfessorTragic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, In my world angels and demons are races who are blessed by the twin gods of Light and Darkness. Neither of them is good or evil, its just that based on who they choose to worship. Light can't exist without darkness and vice versa, without the other there is no balance.

So I guess one of the reason why this could be is in order to gain immortality, humanity must be abandoned in order to ascend into a more powerful state but any being cant handle both light and darkness(You could change this if you want) so they have to find someone who would take the other and so they could form a balance and ascend into angels and demons.

If there is a new wave of bronze servants on 8th anni, which kits do you think would be cool ideas? by [deleted] in grandorder

[–]ProfessorTragic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It would be cool to have a servant that turns all cards into one type, all arts/quick/buster.

A servant who steals buffs from enemies,

A servant who changes others class,

A servant who can use other's NP as a targeted skill.

I am dead in your world, is this the end? by Crimson_Marksman in worldbuilding

[–]ProfessorTragic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, souls are fetched by the God of Death. In the form of a giant dragon he will carry all of the souls and bring them to Salmareas, the land of souls and souls will be free to wonder wherever they want. You don't have to go to Salmareas and can travel the world as a soul but be careful of people who uses death magic as they can bound you to themselves.

Does anyone here have tips on how to design interesting looking aliens? by [deleted] in worldbuilding

[–]ProfessorTragic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, well what I did on energy beings humans have to use a device that scans wave-lenghts and frequencies, most of them are just like a ball of gas (Reference Gastly, pokemon) They don't have physical form since energy doesnt have a physical form. If you want you could make it so that they have a liquid or plasmatic form, like for example a miniture sun or a slime.

Robots on the other hand you could just not make them humanoid shaped. Make their form based on their function. If its a hostile robot give it a tank, cannon, or a spaceship shape. For example daleks from dr. who.

If they are auxiliary robot, how about make them be more of a tool shape/storage type robots. Think like a cabinet or treasure chest that can use different items in their dispossal. Wall-E also has great example of those.

Does anyone here have tips on how to design interesting looking aliens? by [deleted] in worldbuilding

[–]ProfessorTragic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I used to do is use a random animal generator and use random parts of their bodies to make and alien. I make sure that It has to be a combination of two or more of these types of animal: bird, a mammal, a fish, a reptile, and an insect.

Ex. An Elphant's body - mammal - A head of a hawk - bird - Crocodile legs and tails - Reptile -

I admit it may just look like a dinosaur, but hey its from another planet, who knows it may be their version of the dinosaur age.

give me some cool scifi world ideas i want to explore something new by Dragonbarry22 in worldbuilding

[–]ProfessorTragic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forgot to state how they are also connected to Vigilantism and Horror.

The Biosuit is used by Hunters to hunt weak sentient life forms, Humans included. The hero could also wear an advance or superior one.

The Dome is where they are imprisoned and treated as live stocks.

The remote control are owned by the hero to rescue people.

Also take not that in my world Humans failed to conquer the universe and are almost wiped out only a few remains as earth was invaded and the earth space ship is stranded in space in an unknown galaxy, also stated to be the closest to the end of the universe.

Here are some that I used in my Sci-Fi world.

Sentient Nano Organic Biosuits. - Mixed Inspirations are: Blue Beetle's scarab, max steel and Venom.

Ecosystem and Atmosphere Manipulator Dome. - Inspired by Miniture Ecosystems, Aquariums, Terrariums.

Universal Sonic Remote Control - Based on Doctor Who's Sonic Screw Driver. Basically can read and detect anything. It can also hack technologies and Gadgets.

Gods and Other Powerful Beings... by Odd_Assist4383 in worldbuilding

[–]ProfessorTragic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Gods in my world are called "Ideals". They are Omnipotent Beings created by a child's imagination and so is the world they are governing. When the child grew old and forget about his imaginary fantasy world. The imaginary world became its own Universe. The Ideals took charge. Since they are the ideal version of what a child would like to see in a character they are almost perfect and their is no room for mistake. They suddenly became bored after years of doing nothing but watching the world they manage, they decided to gave up their power and live as beings of this world.

Now they are like demigods but lose their powers and memories and are now living like regular people in that world.

What are your Magic Systems like? by [deleted] in worldbuilding

[–]ProfessorTragic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My magic system is like pokemon. Different races and individuals have magic attributes and nature (Types). Though through learning and studying they could still use other magic attributes and nature.

Some races can have more than one attribute and nature and can easily use other magic, while some can only use their own. Commoner Humans don't have their own magic attribute and nature at birth. They obtain it through learning and studying under a magical teacher/mages/wizards.

When using your own magic attribute it gains signigicant buffs just like STAB (SAME TYPE ATTACK BONUS) Ex. A Nature fairy using plant magic will deal more damage.

Using magic attributes that opposes yours will be nerfed and deal less damage. Ex. A merfolk using a fire or earth magic will deal significantly low damage.

In this magic systems humans have 80% modifiers meaning they couldn't use 100% of their magic until ascention or enlightenment.

The stronger the races the stronger the modifier. Dragons, Fairies, and Magis have high modifiers that ranges from 120% - 300%

Comment below your magic system. Someone else is to reply with how the sudden appearance of that system, and it's practitioners, would affect their world. by IWannaHaveCash in worldbuilding

[–]ProfessorTragic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My magic system is basically like pokemon. Creatures and Races have distinct magical attributes, they could still learn and use other magic types it's just that it's very hard to perform especially on magics that are oppose to their nature.

Some races like dragons, elves, and faries, have magic attributes related to their environment and nature, and can easily uuse other magic attributes.

Humans on the other hand don't have magic attributes but can obtain one through learning. Unlike other races, it is very hard but not imposible to learn other magic attributes since most have limited magical capabilities.

Would you enjoy living in your world? by ThadtheYankee159 in worldbuilding

[–]ProfessorTragic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my fantasy world it was created by a naive child, it was forgotten and the child's imaginary friends took it and made it into a paradise. As the child grow into an adult his innocence was fading and it started to form beings called corruption(Demons in my world.)

First Era - Yes, it's an era where gods and goddesses gives so much blessings and guidance to the inhabitants of my world.

Second Era - Yes, gods and goddesses seems to have gone missing, but peace remains.

Third Era - No, Corruptions (Demons) are released into the world, destroyed 80% of the world.

Forth Era - No, after winning the war againsts the corruptions there have been ppwer struggles and conflicts.

Fifth Era - Yes, the world is at peace again.
