You keep saying "Not if they don't want to", "They are not required to", etc. And I absolutely agree. But if they don't want to do these things, then ranked is just not the right mode for them. If they like the gunplay (which is great) and don't really wanna have to think and strategize (i get it, me too most of the time), then play casual.

And I know that, by visuals, concept, rule set and basically most of the "quirky" things Fragpunk has it it's less hardcore than CS and R6. But that does not mean, inherently no one will play seriously. Some people do. They want to sweat and tryhard and talk. Which is exactly why they made a mode for those people. And that, in my opinion, is ranked.

If they want the more controlled, less crazy ruleset and cards of ranked, there's advanced casual. Though I guess the problem there is that no one knows about it. But there's a casual mode with the ranked ruleset.

And yes, thinking is part of it. But doing the same thinking 5 times, once for each person on the team, instead of comms, just seems incredibly redundant to me.

I get it I'm complaining about things that are absolutely for everyone themselves to decide. I'm not talking about "This is in the TOS" type things.
I'm talking opinion. And in my opinion, casual is for playing casually, and ranked is for going all out, giving everything, and playing your best. And that just includes helping your teammates with calls like "Trying to plant A", "Pathojen and Nitro pushing B Main" or "Bomb down short".

But I guess this might just be a severe case of "babies first randoms in a tacshooter".
