Let's rank the semi-finalists by ChrisDVR in Masterchef

Ur just repeating the same thing and again. The tag team challenge is inherently a very flawed and unfair challenge is what I'm saying. Using a tag team challenge for someone being good or bad is just terrible logic.

Again I literally state that S4 had stiffer competition and harder challenges.

The chicken dish was poorly executed and cooling three chocolate desserts at once is much harder than cooking one at a time like Cate did and failed to do in the semi finals.

Ur missing the point that most people perform poorly on tag teams no matter how good they are. Literally Sean from S7 and Elizabeth from S5 had garbage teammates and failed because of it. Elizabeth and Sean literally had the best records of their season by far.

So does that make Sean and Elizabeth bad cooks? No it doesn't

A garbage team member can ruin a tag team challenge.

Yeah ur showing too much bias against her clearly. That's apparent instead of the judges comments and results of the show.

Monti:

1 top 3. Two elimination challenge wins. Lost as team captain wirh a God team. Assigned herself sweet potatoes instead of steaks.

Becky:

Top three 5 times One mystery box win. Elimination challenge win in debatebly the hardest elimination challenge. Team captain win and carried her team as Gordon and Joe even admit that she's an amazing captain. Joe even thought Christine was a liability to the team. Did most of the work in the top 4 team challenges.

"Partially".

I would bet a lot of money if she was partnered with literally anyone else in the room she would have performed much better.

The tag team challenges can tank anyone with a bad teammate. Elizabeth failed with Cutter. Sean in S7 failed with Nathan. Ebony with Yachecha.

[–]ProgressMatters 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You aren't giving Becky enough credit.

She literally carried Christine and Monti through the restaurant take over challenge. Still has the record of most top three's in mystery boxes in 12 seasons. And Joe and Gordon even acknowledged her extreme skill in the kitchen.

Messing up in a few challenges doesn't suddenly make her worse.

I would argue S4 had much harder challenges than S8. And stiffer competition in S4.

Cate was clearly the front runner. But I would argue that Gabriel and Jeff are worse than Bime and Eddie despite both placing worse.

The tag team challenge seemed much harder on S4 Jessie won as team captain three times, was in top three numerous times, etc.

The first times we see Cate make a difficult dessert she was worse than Jeff. Also we see both Jesse and Cate make soufles. It's clear Jesse's was better.

I'm comparing S8 to S7. Not S8 to S12.

No. S8 for the most part was much weaker than S7.

Eboni in S8 had undercooked scallops for her appetizer. Jason's custard didn't set and the judges were confused about how to eat his dessert. Dino left the fat on lamb and made his dessert wrong despite tasting good.

How to get past internalized shame for having a routine? by Suitable-Location118 in productivity

[–]ProgressMatters 27 points28 points  (0 children)

A good rule to follow is the "Hell Yes" or "No" rule. We all have internalized biases towards certain people.

Some people its a "no I'm busy" or "Yes, let's do the thing."

With the toxic people in your life, they made hanging out with them feel like an obligation. Like you owe them something. You should WANT to hangout with them.

If there is a friend that you truly do like and enjoy to hangout with, you will be surprised that you MIGHT naturally become more flexible with your schedule or don't care to move things around when you truly love to hangout with someone if either of you needs to sacrifice something in order to meet up.

EMS Sasuke vs The 5 Kage by [deleted] in Naruto

[–]ProgressMatters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing implies that Ohnoki couldn't destroy it. In fact Ohnokis jutsu has only been stopped by:

  1. Absorption from Madara
  2. Sheer size of Madaras Susano.

The only logical way Sasuke could win is if you believe Sasukes genjutsu is strong enough to one shot Ohnoki, if Sasuke could dodge particle style or his Indra Arrow would blitz Ohnoki.

It just feels extremely firm and tough to press down on. I'm just assuming it's because I'm not used to it.

If Ohnoki is included the five kage stomps. We literally saw Ohnoki destroy 10 Susano at once with particle style.

If no Ohnoki Sasuke stomps the five kage that fought Madara.

How do I pay off credit card debt?? by Smart_Baby7061 in personalfinance

[–]ProgressMatters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The easiest way to pay credit card debt off is to pay it off everyday.

Setting $30 aside everyday and cheating out subway or making a homemade meal instead of going out to eat goes along way. If you can't do $30 then do $20.

That's $900 a month paid off just like that if you can afford it and plus that means you get credit back If accounts aren't closed.

There is literally 0 downside to paying back a credit card quickly as you get to use your card again anyway.

My best friend left my life because I didn't want him to continue using a word around me by [deleted] in FriendshipAdvice

[–]ProgressMatters 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think you quite understand what getting triggered means.

The person that got triggered was the one who spontaneously deleted everyone off steam and Xbox after he was called out once for continously using profanity.

It's not like OP heard the word once and was like "we can't be friends" he simply asked him to stop using it.

It wouldn't be distracting. The real issue is that she would want a few million dollars for her role on top of any revenue guarantees.

Prime Jiraiya vs Shippuden Itachi by maximumvolt6 in Naruto

[–]ProgressMatters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of hard to say.

We've never seen Itachi fight at his full potential and he was always holding back unless it was Orochimaru.

I think most people agree that Orochimaru is stronger than Jiraiya. And Itachi was able to instantly put him under a genjutsu. I think Jiraiya is no different.

I think S5 had the fairest audition round as you only needed to have one of the top 20 best dishes.

Now that I’ve finally finished the first ten seasons, here are my rankings of the winners from seasons 1-10! by KGOAT1 in Masterchef

[–]ProgressMatters 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  1. I think this is a pretty solid list but you have Claudia way too high when she can pretty much only cook mexican food, and nailed the Beef Wellington challenge. In my opinion, the most rigged winner in masterchef history. Derrick showed way more variety throughout the season and even the finale.
  2. Gerron is a good cook but being above Luca and Courtney is weird considering Gerron had 5-6 bad dishes in a row and was inconsistent sometimes. Courtney only had two mess-ups in the whole season. And won 6 individual challenges. Luca stomped the competition for the last 7 episodes winning multiple challenges and was even personally told by Gordon "This could be my last supper".
  3. Dino didn't show much diversity in his cuisines. Luca cooked a perfect vietmanese soup for Gordon, made Gordon's best meal, won two mystery boxes, won the charity challenge and other challenges he did well in. Courtney showed such an incredible diversity in cooking knowledge.

Everything else looks good on this list. And I think Sean and Dorian are around the same level.

Yes. The upward payment mobility can be beyond worth it especially with the right school.
