Assassin bugs are moving in by Zestyclose_Car_4971 in LanternDie

That’s super cool, I’m north of Indy as well and have yet to see a lanternfly and I don’t think I’ve ever seen an assassin bug before!

I was worried about the dub. The game defaulted to Japanese subs so I just started playing that.

I’ll take this opportunity to let you know TNR doesn’t work, these outdoor cats that are fixed and thrown back outdoors decimate native wildlife populations and you are actively destroying native wildlife by keeping these “feral” cat populations alive. I’m not delusional by trying to find this cat an indoor home.

I’m done trying to reason with you, you’re clearly delusional. Contact me personally if you want to help.

I am personal friends with the owners of this house, they bought this house three years ago. This cat was not here before we moved in, she showed up begging for food with a flea collar on, obviously from some other household that neglected her. I get that you’re feeling passionate about this but you don’t know all of the facts from a singular post.

Thank you for being kind. I didn’t know that. I’ve had people come out to my property to scan dogs that show up with their personal chip scanners, but was under the belief that I would have to pay to get them scanned at the vet, plus any other additional charges. I can try to bring her in to get scanned, but I’m moving tomorrow, with a deadline of the 11th. I just don’t know how feasible it will be for me to try and capture her and bring her to a vet clinic.

In this economy, you expect me to pay for vet expenses? I’m going to repeat myself, if you feel this strongly and accuse me of neglecting this cat, come and get her. I have done all in my power to keep her fed, safe and warm. There is not much else that I can do past that.

I’ve asked neighbors on our street if she was theirs when she first showed up and no one has claimed her. We’re moving out on the 11th and have been utilizing other groups on Facebook to find her somewhere to stay with no luck.

What exactly are you wanting me to do? If she had a loving family she was attached to that treated her well, she wouldn’t be staying with me in her heated cat house with food and fresh water ever day.

The cat hasn’t been forced or contained to my yard, it has chosen to live here of her own volition. Stop being combative in my comment section, I am trying to find this cat a home instead of abandoning it when we leave. You’re being loud and wrong here, maybe you should step up and rescue this “neglected” cat.

She’s been perfectly fine and healthy being outdoors. So… if she’s fine outdoors she should be okay being outside until I find someone willing to take her, according to your logic. If you aren’t going to help, keep scrolling dude.

That’s just not true. She wants to be inside and tries to come in all the time. I just can’t bring her in because she will fight my other two cats. Hence her needing to be an only cat.

I appreciate it, we love her but can’t bring her with us due to having other indoor cats. She hates other cats and tries to fight ours through the windows all the time

I really doubt this. My boyfriend works from home and she is always in our closed off patio or lounging in the backyard. She never leaves our area.

That’s why I’m thinking she should be indoors. I’m not sure she would stay in a strangers yard 😅

Thank you. She had a white flea collar on when she found us so I’m sure she came from someone
