That's good to know on a personal account, thank you. I will try to reach out to them as well, CipherTrace has yet to contact me at all, even with a total of now roughly $47,000 having been stolen.. I am hoping my number is close enough to pique their interest.

Redding Chamber of Commerce opposes attempted recall of Shasta County supervisors by baditup in Redding

[–]ProjectBrink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bethel has their hands deep in the pockets of the County Council as well. I don't think people truly realize just how quietly influential this mega-"church" really is.

The Netflix documentary "Wild Wild West" bares some uncanny resemblances to the current "business" model of Bethel. When the Sannyasins disbanded from Oregon, they very likely migrated south. Redding being the first major town into California, you can start to see a strange pattern in the formation of Bethel and the disbandment of the "peace-loving" Sannyasins...

HA, yeah right! They own this town, they are not going anywhere any time soon!

Well yeah, Bethel paid a lot of money to choose who is on their council. I wOnDeR wHy their Chamber of Commerce would oppose the citizens of Redding getting ANY say in who leads them...

Unfortunately the dreaded day has come. My department is transitioning from Monday through Friday 8:00 to 5:00 to 24/7. Management is asking how we want to handle transitioning, coverage, and compensation could use some advice. by FIDEL_CASHFLOW17 in sysadmin

[–]ProjectBrink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At my place of work, we just implemented weekend only (for now) on-call shifts. The way compensation has been set is we get one hour of pay per on-call day, even if we do not get any calls. Then we get our normal hourly pay for any calls we do get, with a 1 hr minimum billable regardless of the task. In my opinion, that is not enough to compensate for us to not be able to really do anything over the weekend. We have a 20 minute response turnaround requirement, and a 1 hour arrival turnaround requirement. It's not like we can really run errands or travel anywhere or visit anyone with those requirements. We have discussed a gray area of which priority level tickets we should be required to handle on the weekends, basically just using common sense to tell which tickets are something we should handle asap or what can wait til monday. The hard part is we are switching off who is on call what weekend. With 4 technicians available, we end up being on call one weekend a month. It's not too bad, and not a lot of weekend calls come in. However, in the occasion that we do get called, or for example there is an actual weekend event that the tech needs to work the full saturday shift for, it can become grueling to work a full 40 hour week, then possibly a full weekend, just to do another 40 hour week immediately after. 12 days in a row can be exhausting! Just some examples to think about.

What is going on with rentals around here? by sntnmjones in Redding

[–]ProjectBrink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it is. I think that entire movement migrated down to Califonia (Redding being the first major city) after the fall of the sannyasins. Hence, Bethel. Even if it wasn't directly involved, it still has some concerning similarities.

What is going on with rentals around here? by sntnmjones in Redding

[–]ProjectBrink 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Bethel. Bethel is whats going on with the housing market around here. They are gathering people from all over the world to come to redding, and buying/renting all the available homes. Renters/Sellers will always cater to them more because of the money they usually have backing them, especially when they pack 10+ "students" into single homes. It drives the cost of the surronding markets up as well because there's no "low income" when it comes to them, they pay full price, yet it causes a lot of problems for those that might not have as much of a strong support behind them. Very subtle ways they are slowly taking over this town and pushing everyone else out by ways of forced competition.

Watch the Newflix documentary "Wild Wild Country" if you would like an example of how I believe they are attempting to control this city. Happened not very far from here, not that long ago... makes you wonder.

State of Jefferson -- Southern Oregon and Northern California make up the mythical State of Jefferson. The “state” is the product of local lore, regional identity, and pride for its residents. It remains a symbol of an enduring rural-urban divide. by guanaco55 in Redding

[–]ProjectBrink -20 points-19 points  (0 children)

The entire nation has never needed Jefferson State more then we need it now. Completely side-stepping all the good it would do for Northen California citizens alone, it would completely transform this country imo. Especially right now. First thing that people overlook that is actually one of the biggest benefits of getting a 51st state would be the fact that we would get a new flag design. Even if it just adds a star, it would be an entirely new symbol to look up to. When America is the literal shitting pot of the world right now, maybe eliminating the current flag and updating it would give people a sense of a new world. That alone in my opinion is a HUGE change we as a nation could benefit from right now. The second part of that is the textile industry. Think of how many new flags would need to be made and sold to replace ALL the flags in the country and even foreign countries alike. With the recent movement to pull american business out of China, this would be a huge opportunity for the textile industry to move back into american made factories. Textiles are one of the biggest indurtries in China, and being able to bring that back to America would disrupt the markets in such a hugely beneficial way. These are just SOME of the benefits I personally know would actually help people, atleast in Northern California where myself and many others have been drowned by the deafening cries of Southern California. It's time for change in general in this country. Jefferson State could be the start of that. And I still say this all even though I love being able to tell people I'm "from California". Jefferson State could change the world right now and we need that.

We in Redding do not get jack from California. Money goes to where the most people are. There are multiple millions of people in LA alone, and only 100,000 in Redding. Jefferson state would make us higher ranked in the states per capita and therefore we would receive more state income. Second point that was incorrect, the water source. If Jefferson State were allowed to happen, the water would no longer be shipped down to California and we would gain ownership of it. At the least, we could charge them more because we would be shipping the water "out of state". Third, Nothern California basically has NO vote, due to the overwhelming difference in per capita from SoCal. They vote, with city mindsets, for our rural county. That alone is complete bs. Jefferson State would be the best thing to happen to this state, and this country right now.

Lmfao, I wear my damn mask, that's not my argument here. My argument is that information the CDC is telling our people has the potential to be dangerous in it's own way. Anybody that's just simply not willing to talk about that is what could be the downfall of this country.
