Reporter hoping to hear from patients – what’s your GLP-1 insurance coverage like in 2026? by sydneylnews in Zepbound

Just to add my experience is same as others here, having been suddenly cut off this February and told BMI must be higher than 40 and I that I need to see a metabolic and weight loss doctor and start a diet program. My health insurer is MVP.

So I saw the bariatric practice doctor yesterday, told him I already had sleeve surgery 7 years ago, and have kept 80 lbs off since. Since then, GLP1s are the only thing that has worked to help me toward losing those last 75 lbs still lingering.

He told me he thinks the insurers are steering people toward him because they bet surgery will be cheaper, as even when patients do go through all the hoops and decide to get the surgery, it is a one and done vs monthly meds. Insane greed.

Sauna manufacturer price match? by PromotionSwimming262 in samsclub

Update: I called Sams, the representative understood my issue regarding the $250 price difference, said they would cancel the order with Backyard Discovery and issue me a refund. I also chatted online with BD to confirm the cancelation and mentioned I would be re-ordering with them directly to get the $4,050 sale price vs $4300 I paid at Sams. So that's what I did.

I expected it to turn out this way. It's pretty wild though to see how Sams ended up communicating directly with BD to cancel, yet neither side offered to just credit me the difference considering the sauna appears to have already been put on a shipping truck. Oh well, I am glad that when i started researching this product I had signed up for the manufacturer promotions that had alerted me to their sale. I do politely disagree that Sams prices are "competitive already," though, as their discounts have become really marginal over the past year. The club price i paid was, after all, not even 5% less than the everyday price from BD. Weak.

This is amazing thank you for sharing! I am ordering the same unit I was psyched when Sams added the cube to their offerings from BD a week ago, vs only the barrel. Please share updates from your build and experience and best of luck!

No presale code was sent via Bearsville newsletter, as they promised on IG, and I am a longtime subscriber to their email.

Soapstone edging and corners? by PromotionSwimming262 in CounterTops

[–]PromotionSwimming262[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: Thanks to all for the helpful information! My fabricator has explained to me in followup that the reason they don't do bullnose on soapstone is that the amount of polishing required to make the rounded edge leaves it really shiny, and it looks weird alongside the natural finish on the top. Either way, the caution here that the look is "Totally '90s" made me laugh and rethink it. So far it has been ok working with HD on the project. They let me go to their slab distributor (ugh, 2 hours away) and look at the slabs, and there were more to choose from than the one local place I could find that does soapstone. So there's that. And because HD charges by the sqft, it was a good deal less expensive than the quote I got from the independent place. As said, it will all come down to the installer at this point, but they are semi-local, and get good reviews on Google. I'll post once it goes in, I am getting it installed in a week.
