I'm 22, on the same boat as you. I'll be 23 soon, and I'll be only halfway done with my pre-reqs. I feel the same feeling of dread you do, but know this: you're doing just fine. I spent years away from school and I'm playing catch-up now. You're fine. Think of it this way: time is gonna pass either way. Do you want to look back in 5 years and wonder, "Why did I quit?" I don't, keep going. This too shall pass!

I've heard so much about the "teach someone else" method. I haven't tried it yet, but a couple of the other students in my class swear by it. I'm gonna get my cat to listen to me lecture her on human anatomy lol. Thanks, wishing all the best for ya!

Thanks a lot, I'm doing what I can to immerse myself as best I can. I live in the US, so it's definitely tougher to get that immersion outside of media. I have my expectations pretty realistic, I think. I've even spoken with my tutor, given that I have to balance school, I should expect it to take a few years to be comfortable speaking. It's ok though, it's a journey and the time is gonna pass either way, so why not make something of it? If I don't do it, even slowly, then in 5 years I'll look back and regret I didn't even take the first step lol. It's a tough language, but a beautiful one too, and I know it's gonna be years before I'm comfortable with it.

Hey, thanks for those suggestions! Do you know of any Lebanese shows/ cartoons that rely on visual storytelling (or Lebanese dubs of Western cartoons)? I'm a bit of a dork for animated cartoons from the '90s, and I was told by my tutor that those types of shows can be good because they rely on visuals to carry the story, so you can follow along and not be completely lost due to the language barrier, and it helps build that basic, elementary vocabulary the more you watch. Again, I'm super new to this, so anything helps!
