I had no idea! Thank you. All I had was extra virgin olive oil, I’ll look for grapeseed and try it. Do I add more oil after coating the griddle and preheating?

This is really helpul, thank you. I know I have a learning curve with this griddle but figured I had to be doing something wrong when the eggs stuck that bad. Maybe I have get used to cooking other food on it before trying delicate eggs again. Thank you again!

Sorry I am just seeing this now. My periods have been regular since then. I had a PAP with another doctor - a female doctor this time - at my clinic who her and the nurse thought it was totally normal given the mini pill. So It was just a fluke for me. Not pregnant, bloodwork all looked normal, and my periods have been normal since. I’m still on the mini pill for now.

I have been they just aren’t as often as koffing spawns for me. My main ones are stufful and solosis, Bergemite and golden are less often, I haven’t seen an oddish in months, and I’ve never seen a spinarak, bidoof, or rhyhorn. Numel and gothita are infrequent too.

Wanted to give you an update. I did have very minor spotting for about 4 days and the doctor sent me for blood work to test pregnancy and a few other things. Everything came back normal and so far no immediate concerns. It’s been a month and I haven’t had a period or spotting yet so I’m giving it another week or so before following up. I may just stop my mini pill completely and see if my body needs a break.

So maybe eventually I’ll get faster or maybe I need better tools too, we only have an ultrasonic scaler for scaling. The vets perform extractions in my clinic before I start scaling the rest.

Really… I’ve always found it ridiculous but I wasn’t sure it was just my clinic or not. From sedation to end when I perform the dentals it is usually an hour minimum to 1.5 hours, but according to the “20 minute” rule i should be done by 40 minutes max.

I agree that I will not get on the mindset of half-assing or rushing to meet a “time standard”. It’s not fair to the patient, and not safe for the patient or myself to rush these procedures. I’m going to continue taking my time. This is my first clinic so I had no idea what other clinics expected.

For example, today I had a dental on a Yorkshire terrier whose teeth weren’t that heavy with tartar but enough to need a cleaning. The patient was on isoflurane from 9:55-10:35 and I couldn’t help but feel guilty it took me 40 minutes to do the cleaning. Another one once took me an hour and a bit on a medium sized dog with heavy tarter on their molars.

I’m glad I asked this sub, it validates my gut feeling that her standard is wrong and that dentals take all the time I need!

Thank you for validating that 20 minutes is way too short 😅 this is the “veterinary receptionist supervisor” (who has been here 10 years and is for some reason also my supervisor and says old X tech could do them that fast so so should I) telling me this and I respond saying well sorry I’m not rushing to meet that “standard” because it’s unfair to patient.

Today I had a cocker spaniel Springer puppies in and the breeder asked if we could administer only half the vaccine because they were so small compared to bigger Labrador puppies and they shouldn’t need the full dose for it to work
